Picked my Gti up about 3 weeks ago so done abit to it already so i thought i better start a progress thread. R reg 74,000 miles. My first car was a quikie and i loved it until someone crashed into me and wrote it off. Couldnt afford insurance on a gti at the time so went for a Corsa 1.8 Sri. But always knew i would get another 106 as they are so much fun.bought this one as a track car and general fun car.

The day i picked her up i also went over to blackpool to pick up the 3"Pugsport i got off ebay only a few months old:D

Just need to sort out the hangers so it sits level.

Booked her in for cambelt change and then gave her a good service.

Ordered some bits from Kam Racing (BMC induction kit,Raceland 4-2-1 Manifold,Powerflex lower engine mount and Eibach springs with Blisten shocks).Which arrived very quickly cheers KAM:D

Radiator looked in need of replacement so ordered a new nissens rad.

The Gti been at french sport tuning all last week gettin lowered,alarm and engine mount fitted. Mark and damo had abit of trouble with torsion bar being seized but many thanks to them both for gettin it sorted sits perfect imo.

The sticker Damo put on a slant haha;)

Decided to fit new brembo maxi discs and mintex 1144 pads in pouring rain on sunday just my luck.

So today decided to wash it as it was a tad dirty. Also debadged the rear and put new FST sticker on and Colin Mccrae tribute sticker then went for a drive and my god does it handle even better now Took a few pics while on me travels

Back off to french sport tuning soon for new clutch and lighted and balanced flywheel fitting.Just wanna say massive thanks to FST for the work done so far would reccomend them to anyone top lads cheers again:D

Nope dont like them at all lol. Came with the car gettin either White speedline comp2s or white 1.2s as soon as funds allow

Then on sat went to pick some bucket seats off Nokia_fart on here cheers mate there in mint condition.

Waitin for cage to arrive and gunna order quikshift and omp wrc steeringwheels and will proberly replace the harnesses with some black omp ones soon.

well been quite abit of progress over the last few months so thought it was about time i updated this.

new standard clutch with lightened flywheel now fitted

swapped the blue harnesses with some nice black omp 4points

Wires will be getting taped up and will be making a little box of some sort to house the window switches.Also carbon doorcards will be ordered soon.
Then while the cage was with frenchsport tuning i decided it was best to finish peugeots job and paint the inside quite happy with results looks 10times better than before.

then finally managed to get hold of a set of c5 steelies thanks to donny motor spares.Sprayed them white then got the tyres swapped over from my old wheels.Still cant believe how light they are.

10point white omp cage to be fitted on the 9th september and hopefully first track day in october.

Cage now fitted absolutly love it not got many pics as camera decided to break. Just wanna say another massive thanks to the lads at french sport tuning for another great job:D.
