Just finalised this with the people at Peugeot Ecosse and we are all good to go !

Details:

Date: 31st Of May

Time: 10am Start
Price: £20
Cars: Minimum of 12

I need the deposit by the 30th of April, yes, thats this month or the day is given to someone else. If you are 100% coming then you can pay the full amount right now by PayPal or if we meet up. I can meet up anywhere near the Bathgate/Livingston/Falkirk/Stirling area to take the money if you don't have a paypal account.

I had a rolling road day here last year and it was a superb day out, good turn out and good banter.

After it we can go to a wee place called Linlithgow for some food, if anyones interested.

It's only 15 minute drive from the Forth Road Bridge. If theres a lot of lads coming from the North I might be up for meeting you at McDonalds just after you cross the bridge.

We can meet at Deere Park golf course, its just off the M8 as you come into Livingston and go straight ahead at the roundabout ( as if you were going into the petrol station/hotel ) and then its a 2 minute drive to the clubhouse. Or I'd be sitting waiting before the speed bumps.

We're not going that way. I'm meeting them at McDonalds after you come across the bridge ( unless you ain't going that way ) and then its a 15 minute drive from there through Linlithgow to get to Ecosse which is on the outskirts of Bo'ness, you're hardly even in it.

Deek I think you are the only person coming from that way, you using the tomtom ? It's easy enough to get to from the M9. You come off and head towards Linlithgow, it's straight on for about a mile then you turn left at The 4-In-One and its a wee country road towards Bo'ness, as soon as you pass the welcome to Bo'ness sign you take a left ( cant remember if its 1st or 2nd ) but you'll see a sign from Ecosse.

I'm taking my cousins VTR and putting that on the rollers. As for now we don't need anymore cars but just incase we do, ask around if they'd be interested, so its just a case of giving them a phone.

A guy in a 206 didn't check his oil, and hadn't done for some time. So the mechanic checked just incase. He hardly any oil on the dipstick, let alone on the minimum line. So he had to get a top up

I'll be at the McDonalds just as you cross the forth road bridge at 9am. I'll be there until 9:30ish and then head towards Ecosse. It's an easy 15 minutes drive.

After this, its a wee 2 mile country road towards Bo'ness. When we come into Bo'ness its either the 1st or 2nd left turning, I'm not sure.

To get to the McDonalds its simple. You come over the bridge and take the first turn off ( if you don't you're heading for the M9 ) and you'll come to traffic lights at a roundabout. Go right, I think its the 2nd take off, you'll see a big premier travel Inn, McDonalds is next to that. You drive for 50 yards and turn in.

Quite pleased that my standard car made 107 Ftlb Torque and 122.5 BHP,

I was amazed that Daves standard Gti made 133 and 116ftlb!!!!

Was a super day out, cheers for organising it Gord.

I thought the rollers were a bit inconsistent though, Mine got 114Ftlb torque and 128.5bhp whilst another guy with just an exhaust got 142.5 bhp and Dawn with exactly the same mods as me got 138bhp with 104Ftlb.

Still a brilliant day and superb weather, shite weather back here tho :(

No way of telling i don't think. I just cant understand how a standard car can be up 13bhp on the standard figure and one with just an exhaust with sports cat can be up by 23 bhp lol.

all depends on the engines aswell and how they've been looked after and driven aswell easty (not saying you rag yours or dont look after it)

my gti made 130 at awesome gti and its totally standard

phil and adams both made high 130's and another lad with an enclosed filter and exhaust only made 129

just pot luck really lol

I do think mines is slighty underpowered compared to the last Gti I had which was also standard as it felt quicker but sadly it was never put on a RR so dunno!

On the way down to Ecosse, i was following Kev & Dawn, and we booted it on this straight, there wasn't much in it but i was slowly pulling on them. Thats the bit that confuses me, their car has 10 more bhp than mine but it doesnt seem to be any faster :confused:

I would have loved to stick all the GTi's that were there today on a quarter mile next to each other "Top Gear" style and see whos was fastest.

I got some good pics but il post them on monday as my cable is at work.

from what i've read you've got abit more torque than them so you'll slowly pull on them

Yea i was pleased with my torque figure and i suppose torque is what your after but i was quite disapointed with the peak power if im completely honest.

Well i can think of three stigs, just need 5 more or so LOL.
