Now Ive never really been big into my gaming, but I'm looking at buying a 360.

Just need to know whats the difference between the elite and the premium consoles?

Also, how does the online aspect of it work, monthly payments using your original broadband cnnection?

Rep awaiting....:p

the elite has a bigger hard disk, features a HDMI port, whereas the premium just uses component HD connections.
which i believe means the elite can run 1080p resolutions whereas the premium could only run 1080i
other small niggly little differences but those are the big selling points.

and check out the xbox live website for subscription methods, as i believe there are quite a few ways to pay for online gameplay.

also the elite is black, which is clearly much sexier.

in my opinion no.. u got more than enough space on the premium console i rekon... and unless u got a super duper tele then thers no other selling point...

the new premium console now has a hdmi port on it :) so now unless you want black and more sapce its not worth it. Also not sure what telly you have got but your looking at the best part of 700 quid for a 1080p telly.

game.co.uk
gamestation.co.uk
tescos.com
asda.com

with the online side. you will need a wireless router or a spare ethernet port on your router. if you go down the wireless route you will need a wireless adapter thats an extra 60 quid. then you have xbox live which is free for silver just so you can play online. then gold is 4 quid a month or 40 a year so you can download things.

www.gameplay.com is a good place

and as said 120GB hard drive, HDMI port for 1080P tv's, and its in black, they are the main points.

as for online you can choose to pay for one month, 3 months, or 12 months at a time. If you had the money i would recommend buying the wireless adapter for the xbox as if you have a router it makes it much easier.

Wow, thanks for the replies.

Ive got aa 17 inch LCD, but its nothing mega expensive so I doubt its worth me forking the extra as I havent got a posh tele.

As for colour, Im not that fussed.

So I think the premium one is winning for me at the moment. :)

yeh i've got the premium on my 32inch LG 1080P tv, and my mate brought round his elite so we could see the difference between 1080i and 1080P and i really couldnt tell much difference tbh

I just got a 360 from a mate, and I love it, and I only paid £150, complete with 2 games and other bits and bobs. :D

For Live, all I did was connect ethernet to pc, and on the console, you click 'Join Xbox Live' then it signs you up for silver, where you can download content etc. But you get a free month with gold, where you can play online.

Test Drive Unlimited online is awesome. :D
