Full group N spec really, like group N engine mounts, ecu, and exhaust, etc...
weld in cage, fly off hand brake, k and n filter, bilstein suspension, Motordrive Seats, Sabelt 6 point belts, Hella lamp pod, Lifeline electrically activated plumbed in extinguisher, AFFF handheld, Terratrip 303plus with remote, Pottie jack plug, Alloy tank guard, Peltor Intercom, Terraphone intercom & practise sets,

Thats all i can think off at the moment.

for the price of the pods be better of making you own and i could not find any on that demon tweeks site that said they were 4 the 106.

if you want to get all the marks out the paint work you would be better off with Farecla's G3 regular grade paste compound mate got myself some the other day (400g for £17.99 so is a bit more expensive but is a lot better at getting all the marks out the paint work)

their web site is: - www.farecla.com (http://www.farecla.com)

Its a rallye group N (with full homolagation papers), which means limited modifications. It has a group N exhaust and ecu, A K and N panel filter and thats about all that is allowed.

I dont want to put a different engine in because i purphosely got a 1300 so that I can compete more competatively in the 1400cc class. Also if I entered a BTRDA event, they have a 1400cc round and it could compete in the 1400 group n class.

it won its class last time it went out rallying.

Let the fun begin....

Only got one day this weekend free to work on her.
List of stuff to do is:
Clean air filter
attach rear mud flaps,
disconnect fire extingushers and send them off for renewing
move both seats to suit me and my dad (there bolted to the welded in seat bars)
have a look how to get stickers off (any advice welcome)

LOL, well like I said the only show I can see it going to is Chatsworth Rally Show, and then more than likely I'll only do single venue events. BUT I am hoping to do Dukeries Rally 2009,(it gives me over a year to get experience).

There isnt really that much to it tbh lol. Not as safisticated as a WRC car or a proper group N (i.e Impreza or Evo). But I love it :D

group N is basically a Road rally car thats got a motorsports Logbook.

liam u need to get out and do some road rallies man. amazing cheap fun. the VK rally was only £70 entry and there was some 140 miles in a night of the smallest road in the uk.

then u can come to morecambe to do the uk famous Illuminations rally. used to be part of the Motoring news rounds befor that stopped

Been busy allll day, got home from work at 10 this morning and I've spent about 8 hours on the car

First of all We polished and T cutted the bodywork and I've now got all the sticker goo off the car.

We then replace the rocker cover, resealed everything. Then we changed the spark plugs. Fired her up and she now ticks over alot better than she did when we first got it.

Then the b*****d of a job happened. We took the rear lights off to replace a light bulb. When we opened them they where full of mud and half the welsh forest, which meant that we had to clear them out. After that we replaced everything and checked all the lights.... the brake lights had stopped working. After some fault finding we traced the fault to the switch on the brake pedal. It was the screw fitting type and it was a bitch to get on and off, 2 hours was spent doing it lol. After this had been replaced (£7 from my local motor factor) the brake lights worked...RESULT!!!!!

The final job for the day was to take the driver's seat off the seat bars, switch the bars around and make a hole bigger (long story). We then replaced all the nuts and moved the seat a bit more forward so I could reach the pedals, (the person before me was 6 foot 2 and im only 5 foot 10).

No photos at the moment. Any comments welcome (even about my poor puncutation lol)

All my re-furbed wheels are now on (looks 100000000000000 times better)
Had my fire system sent off to life line and returned repaired and checked over (£35)
Had a problem with the manual fan switch, i.e. it wasnt working. After a couple of hour fault finidng turned out to be the inline fuse holder was knackered and collapsed when we touched it. That cost me £1.30 from maplins lol.
Erm getting insured monday, taxed mid week.

Cambelt change and its ready to go, oh and get the extingushers back.
Hoping to do the opposite lock rally at Manby in July to break my rally driving virginity. Got my Bars booked for 10th June (Nervous bout that)

BIG UPDATE

Well its been a busy couple of weeks.

At 9pm on Friday the 6th of June we had the pipes off the engine replacing the thermostat. This came about when we picked her up from having the graphics on the car, she all of a sudden started running really shit. Once I got home I was on the phone trying to sort this problem out. After a few calls and such we hopefully have the problem sorted. On Saturday morning we took the car upto Chatsworth for the rally show and she ran fine. The car got alot off attention and I even had two offers for her.

Last Tuesday I took a ride up to Chris Birkbeck rally school in Saltburn (just north of Whitby). After 20 questions and a practical exam I was driving home with a BARS stamp on my licence application form.

Then on Friday (13th June) I had the day off work. In the morning we took a drive into the woods of Sherwood Pines to help set up for the Dukeries rally. While having a little play in my ZR we hit a bump and went airbourne. Landed safety but I banged my head lol.

Then at about 3 we went to Southwell racecourse for Scrutineering. I was co-driving on this event and very nervous.

After 10 stages on Saturday, we won our class by 25 seconds and came 10th overall in the 1400s (it was a BTRDA event). Not bad to say it was my first event. We had a few moments over the day but it was alot of fun.

But unfortunatly I've seen the vauxhall way of life, and after I've been rallying a bit I'm hopefully going to build a 1400 Corsa.

We have sent our entry off (and its been accepted, check the link http://www.slaithwaitemc.co.uk/rallyinfo2008.htm) for the Opposite Lock Rally at Manby. Nervous but excited lol!!

At the moment the car has; No oil, No oil filter, No coolant, The radiator is at work, The brakes are off and the water pump is about to be taken off.

Anyway comments welcome and here are some pics

Did the Opposite lock rally at the weekend.

Well we got there at 8.30 friday night, and scrutineering finished then. Lucky we managed to get it through and parked her up for the night.

The next morning, we started her up and it wouldnt tick over. Lucky my mechanic sorted it out and did a brake pad change and we was ready to go.

We had a good day no real problems, only needs a few parts.

My main aim was to finish and we did :D, in the after noon we were getting a bit quicker, keeping it tight and managed to get to close to a lorry tyre stack and put a dint in the door (which I have already popped out and polished the mark out).

On the last stage we was on slicks and it chucked it down so we dropped about 20 seconds because i was being very careful.

Anyway we finished 65th out of 66 finishers and 8th in class.

Things I need are something for the steering, either a quick rack or something like that because i found it hard on some of the tight sections

Here are some pictures;
