I need a load of LEDs for my speedo dials. I want a full set of red ones. Can anyone tell me how many I need and which ones? I presume Ebay would be the best for them?
Cheers :)

hey man, have u actually checked you can change the LEDs?
i tried to do this on mine... ordered the right ones and everything... took the clocks out and discovered the LEDs behind the clocks were soldered directly to the circuits :/ so i cant replace them.... it then took me at least an hour to re-assemble the clocks as i couldnt get the stupid knob things in line :(

Yes I have taken one bulb out already, the older cars (before 2001 I think) have twist out LEDs rather than soldered in ones.

Cheers for that :) I'm going to see if I can find an electrical place that will sell the bulbs tomorrow - hopefully :o

Is this the sort of thing you were after james?
I haven't bought any but i was thinking of getting them from here if i could confirm they're what is needed. It does say they fit the 106.

The ones I had fitted suck! No where near bright enough, I bought a pack of 5 from ebay and they were dome style replacements.
Not those ones though, did you fit them and were they any good, im told you need a pack of 10 to replace all the leds and effectively light it properly.
Ive been looking at these and im told these are the best available: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUK%3A1&viewitem=&item=250130889003&rd=1
ANyone fitted any of those, if so got any pics?

You don't want SMD, they are for the new digital dash.
You don't want these http://www.m-99.co.uk/Car_Neon_LED_L...led_bulbs.html (http://www.m-99.co.uk/Car_Neon_LED_L...led_bulbs.html) they are for your switches (509 bulbs are 10mm)
You want these http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/motorbike-bulbs-dash-bulbs-c-44_61.html?osCsid=fa6f199fab54709e1396646e15953fe1 (http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/motorbike-bulbs-dash-bulbs-c-44_61.html?osCsid=fa6f199fab54709e1396646e15953fe1 )
Need around 10 depending on what you put them in, also I found the blue ones I got not to be bright enough so wired two more in parallel. Also if you wish to make the clock illuminate red, you will need to change the filter from the orange one that is already there. I traced round it and made one from the top of an icecream carton (the normal one is plastic, about the same thickness)
