Dashboard Engine Light Taken Out?

Hey,

I need to take a the engine light out on my dash? Its the orange engine light?

Its hard to do. I know there are two screws at the top but whats after that?

why do you have to take the engine managment bulb out for?

Beacuse the orange light keeps coming on beacuse of something faulty on the CAT, but its passed its M.O.T anways. It must be the sensor.

Just dont like the light being on and dont wanna pay the garage £25 to remove it via computer, beacuse it will come back on within 1 - 4 weeks. :(

Its it fairly easy to do that? Undo them 2 screws?

removing the engine managment light is a bit stupid! if its coming on theres obviously something wrong , dont be a tight arse and get it fixed then it wont be on

Its the sensor, and its around £100.

Not worth it mate. Esp. on a 1.1 :P

Was joking. :) Will give a clean at some point. Some one said you use petrol? Does it just twist out?

yes 22mm spanner will sort it out. and yes petrol should work.

So how do you replace the dash lights?

My dipped beam one is tempremental

erm if its the digital dials they are led's but if its analogue, take out the clocks and the bulbs twist out then replace and twist back in
