well i tohugth id post some pics up of my car, hope its the right section.

The story is, i passed in january, i had a Fiat Panda 1000 Fire 1992 and i loved the car, never missed a beat. but i crashed it into the back of a skip wagon. more here... www.jbw-uk.co.uk/panda/crash/

anyways now after a few weeks we found a 106 1.5D Mardi Gras in blue. needed a bit fo work and it needed tax and mot soon, got it for 350

started of like this.

carpeted a week or so later (bit dark, had been the pub lol)
http://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/data/500/medium/29042007040.jpg

then i moved on and did the new interior and wheels, but i got the boot nearly done.

I found a S1Rallye in a local scvrap yard, it was completely f**Ked over. so i grabbed the interior and the wheels.

Old interior

http://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/data/500/medium/07052007080.jpg

so mods so far:
Rallye Interior
14" 306 wheels
Flip Trap 10 Active in custom boot install
6x9 Infinity Speakers in Parcel Shelf (soon to be stealth)

things that need doing:
think one of my back springs has gone, going tomorrow to my mechanic to get it checked over.
may need new tyres and the profile on these is massive (185/60 r14 )
got some neons for the boot install coming as well (bright blue :D)

future:
clear side repeaters
matybe debadging but i dont know

any comments, ideas. good or bad welcome.

thanks alot guys, im trying my best, im gonan leave the ouside standard (leave stickers and badges on) was tempted to take em off. just gonna get new badges as these are tatty:)

ill do a guide when i can, see if ive got any pics from construction or not.

also another problem with it is the paint work. the last owner(women) used to take it through mechanical car washes and use sponges by the looks of it. the paint works in bad state on teh roof, if i want it looking excellent ive either gotta get it professionally cared for on the outside or respray it.

thanks for the info. ill get it looked at anyways. hopefully it will be reet, but we shall see lol.

thanks

Jonno

Ah that under bonnet view looks familiar! :D Do you know know where to find the paint code on these models as I can't find it on mine for love nor money!

Also as a general question does any1 know what the plug on the right hand side that is just sitting on a blank on the wheel arch is for? Its a 2 pin job that has 12V on one pin and earth on the other. The 12v is only there when the engine is running. Any ideas?

if i had a pound everytime some one asks that!
s1's and early s2's have the paint code under the bonnet on the passenger side strut top!

**pin and earth on the other**

cars dont have an earth! They have live and neutral! aka live red ground black... ground is normally the chasise

Mine wasn't! Had to go to a main pug dealer to get em to look it up. Was starting to despair when they said they couldn't pull it up from the reg number, last chance was to try the VIN which gave the colour name, which the guy couldn't find in the book. He then asked some really old bloke from the parts department whether he had heard of it, old bloke thought a bit n then went to look for the special editions folder. Thank god it was in there otherwise I wouldn't have known where to look next.

I've now found out that Helfrauds don't have that colour and they can't even mix it even though I have given them the code and the name. They claim to be able to mix any colour. Muppets!

106Tom: I know that the cars earth pins connect to the chassis!

Anybody got any idea what the connection might be? You can see it in the above pic just to the left of the fuse holder.

thanks :D

that ones only down the road from me. didnt know you were so close wizza lol

Whats next? im thinking:

S2 Boot Lid
GTi Arches
GTi Skirts
GTi Rear Bumper
XSi Front Bumper

Only problem is im finding it hulla boring to drive atm, due to no power and such.

had set in my head a 306 Diesle turbo onto the engine, or a 306 1.9 td engine, tbh i dont realy know, not good on mechanical side lol.

looking good m8, the alloys and the seats have made a big difference your car started out very similar to mine, i think next thing is to redo the side repeaters, also about the rear shocks just get your head under and check to see if there leaking or have oil all over them that can usually tell if they need changing

btw do u have a before picture of your engine bay and was it fairly easy to clean it up, i may do that on mine its pretty clean but might decide to redo it.

the roofs on these peugeots are always a weak point by the sounds of things

thanks alot, i do try,:D

i just got a tub of engine bay degreaser and such, put it in a pot, got a paint brush and painted the parts, then i got a hose and rinsed it of after a while, be sure not to get any electrical stuff wet and such, also let it dry before going out in it as well.

well stripped out the interior on tuesday and give it a good hover out, next time i do it ill start early morning n give it the once over everywhere inside. for now ive stripped out the sound proofing but currently no backseats and bits not finished of due to it going dark lol.

gona put back seats in today and finish it off.

been looking at the back end and thinking dam it looks better, bet i cud strip all the back out and put a race floor or false floor in and put a nice sound system in or something, tint the windows and i have a winner:D
