Now, I'm sure I am representing 99% of guys on this subject and what I am about to say, the other 1% being gay.
I am going to complain about women trying to lose weight.
Any bloke that has had a girlfriend will know exactly what I mean. I have given up trying to help the missus lose weight that she thinks she has.
About a month ago, my missus started having this thing were she thought she was fat and overweight. Personally, I think she is lovely the way she is. She reads all these shit womens magazines with stick thin models plastered over every page and ridiculous diet plans on almost every page.
She started doing these stupid pilate exercises but wasn't really doing the right things, so, foolishly of me, I intervened and offered to help her. Now guys, one tip - NEVER EVER offer to help your girlfriend / wife etc do exercise and lose weight. My girlfriend instantly took it as me saying that she was fat and off she went screaming and shouting. I simply asked her if she wanted help, and BANG!!!!, that was it.
I can't win. If I offer to help her, she thinks I'm saying she's fat, if I don't help her, she thinks I don't care about her. When she comments about her weight, she obviously expects me to say something, but if I say I think she's fine, she thinks I'm just saying it to shut her up, so I now just stay quiet and give her a look as if to say "shut the f**k up". It seems to me that women, no matter what their size and shape, want to lose weight, but they don't actually want to do any exercise or maybe work a bit hard.
When are women gonna realise that the vast majority of guys (myself included) don't like stick thin women, its gross.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to convince women that they are perfect the way they are
They're all mental
to me, stick thin women are gross. My ex was a size 8 on top and 10 on the bottom and that a really nice figure...she was curvy which is sexy. She always said "im not curvy im fat" but the truth was, she wasnt fat for gods sake!
The girl im currently seeing is a size 6/8 and yes she is alot thinner thatn my ex...but not in a bad way, just a smaller frame. Shes not disgustingly thin either, cant see her ribs or anything sick like that.
However my ex did go thru a similar phase as you described above...but in the end i think she jst got bored of being like it coz i told her to stop being so ridiculous.
I have dated size 6 girls and size 12 girls and both, to me, have been just as attractive...actually maybe the more curvy ones iv preferred!
so, women with boyfriends, look at it like this...would us blokes be with you in the 1st place if we didnt find u attractive? would we sleep with you if we didnt find you attractive?

haha, that is so true.
But this comes from the fact that blokes perv over women with perfect figures and they feel like they have to chnage themselves to look like that. And other women are ridiculously nasty to eachother with sly comments here and there, it all boils down to insecurities.
I'm sure if a woman turned round after sex and said that the man had the smallest penis she had ever seen and the sex was rubbish he would be pretty annoyed.... well that's what it feels like for a woman when someone mentions her weight, its a really contenscious issue.
And.... in my opinion, i prefer it if nobody even mentions anything to me about weight, I know i'm not overweight but it doesn't stop me from having 'fat days' lol.... just avoid any woman you suspect to be having a fat day and world war III will not break out! :p :D

I see what you're saying, and I totally agree with you Lacey, but I'm sure you women perv over blokes with 6 packs etc in magazines and on the beach and stuff (even though my girlfriend swears she doesn't - yeah right!), but us guys don't get stressed, insecure and all the rest!
Lacey
10-05-2007, 11:31 AM
yeah this is where i understand... if i see a bloke with a perfectly toned physique i appreciate the hard work and sexiness of it, but it doesn't mean i'd like to go out with him! For a start he'd take longer in front of the mirror than me and secondly i'd be fighting the jealous girls away everyday!
Besides... just like blokes, most girls prefer something to grab onto. My ex was the perfect size for me, he didn't have a six pack he wasn't very toned but he was powerful.
I guess that blokes feel similar to this about women, obviously less muscular and poweful attributes are desired! :p
lacey u make me feel good about myself lol
i agree with the looks comment...like if they are model perfect then, chances are, they will have far too much attention from blokes and a stupidly large ego!
Lacey
10-05-2007, 11:39 AM
exactly.... cos if i have a bloke he is mine and only mine... and there will be trouble if he has a huge ego and thinks he can flirt with the dirty chav girls who don't mind getting with a bloke who has a girlfriend... ooh new thread!

I agree. Stick thin women, most of the time, think they're gods gift and prance around in lah lah land. You see them walking down the high street with more ego then, well, someone with a lot of ego.
You need something to grab on to when you're, um, cuddling:rolleyes: , I hate it when you can see a womens ribs and stuff - eeeewww!!
Problem is, all women seem to be blind to the fact that most men prefer curvier women. They think that because skinny women are plastered over magazines, billboards etc, that they have to be like this. Us guys look at skinny women, but it don't mean to say we fancy them. Vast majority of the time I look at them because they're freeky, not because they're fit!

8 STONE??
Christ what a moose.... :P
Nah i agree entirely with what youre saying peedee, theres just no winning. Just take laceys advice and try not to mention the word fat/overweight, even the word 'large' around women otherwise they think youre talking about them.
I'm putting on weight at the moment because im lazy bastard and i drink too much at the weekends. BUT that doesnt make me feel any worse, it just means i have to get up and exercise a bit more.

I think most women miss the whole part about exercising to lose weight, they just see dieting as a cure for everything. So end up starving themselves.... it's not a good place to be. Been there done that got the t-shirt. As long as your happy you will be attractive because its your confidence that attracts people to get to know you. You can have the perfect figure but be absolutely miserable that won't attract someone.

S'all about having the confidence to pull off, whatever you look like ;)
And lads, just turn round and say 'If you think you're fat then lose weight, if you don't, dont. I won't be bothered either way!'

Er, wtf!
so if you're fella said that to you, you woulden't mind - I think not!!!!!
You do realise that if a guy said that to his girlfriend, she would automatically take it as him saying she is fat.
Again, we lose!!

I might look at skinny women occasionally but if any of my ex's think im oggling them because I fancy them they are sadly mistaken
I couldnt see myself with a skinny woman - I'm nearly 6 ft and weigh over 17 stone LOL
Those stick thin model types - I think I'd actuall break them during sex. Much prefer a woman with some curves that you can throw about without being scared of hurting :)
And with regards to women staring at men with 6 packs and stuff - doesnt bother me. I enjoy eating good food to much to ever be that fit. I could be but I'd be miserable.

lol^
I sometimes look at girls and think i'd break you in half.
Its disgusting, stick thin girls just dont do it for me at all. At school you get to see all kinds of figures, super skinny to whale material and the stick thin people i always used to wonder WHY do that to yourself.
Im obviously not a woman (and christ i wouldnt want to be) so i dont know what you all think sometimes but i much prefer laddddies with a curvy figure :)

I'd rather be with a happy woman with good selfesteem whom I can mistake for my pillow, then be with a woman who is cranky and irretated from starving herself and on who you can play the xylophone.
I love to cook, love to eat and really enjoy seeing people that like the food I've made for them. If they like a second helping of my cooking, then maybe she'll also like a second helping of that other treat of life. :p
But men cann't go right. When women complain about the jeans they don't fit anymore and you say that maybe she gained some she is pissed. And when you dare to say that maybe it shrunk in the dryer, then she responds: "So you think I cann't wash the clothes properly??" Which way you go, you cann't go right. It's like Lacey said it's WW3 waiting to happen

Its not your fault your girlfriend has weight issues, being realistic about it will help her come round to the idea to either do something about it without moaning or accept herself the ways he is!
I used to be one of these girls, i would go on about my weight all the time and be fooking miserable and my bloke has been harsh with me on occasions about it (Don't get me wrong, hes not a serial abuser or anything ;) ) but he also praised and and made me feel good about myself, so its all good :D
I'm a big girl, so him saying i am and to get over it or do something about it, is him being realistic. It did upset me at first but I'm a much better person for it now! I can walk about with confidence now and not feel like i don't want to face the world because of the way i am, you can like it or lump it ;)

I usually weigh between 17 and 18 stone - which according to my health check up makes me obese.. but Im not im just a big bloke LOL
Doesnt bother me - at least people dont mess with me on nights out :)

LOL @ Ste!
I think you have to be careful about balancing out, being unhealthy and healthy. I mean, I'm 5'4 so my ideal weight would be between 8-10 stone? (Someone may correct me on that because I'm not too sure) But i have NEVER been lower then 10 and a half stone in my adult life, EVER. I honestly believe (and this isn't a cop out) that my body would struggle very much at that weight! But I also know I could do to drop some weight, because I don't want to start getting unhealthy, no other reason then that!
I don't like the attitude of some morbidly obese women who think its ok to be on oxygen mask and at deaths door because there confident in there looks  Like the plus plus plus size models you see, they WILL die young but they think that because they are confident in themselves (which I'm not saying is a bad thing) they can continue to be so unhealthy!
Its about being healthy physically AND mentally! :)

Not really woried about my weight but I would like to weigh more.
20, 5ft 9 and I weigh 10stone max.
Been weight training (tryingn to build) for about a year now and eating all the right stuff and just dont seem to put anything on! ARGH!
I know that people get obssed with weight and then it gets them down and all that, but nobody else around them really gives a s**t about how big the girl in the office is or how much of a beer belly the guy you work with has got, to be fair.
People should be less worried about what others think and concentrate on keeping themselves happy.

And just for the record, I love BIG men with love handles ;)

The guide lines are mental - I'm just under 6ft tall and weigh probably just under 17stone at the moment
Last time I weighed 12 stone was when I was a stick thin ice hockey player
When I started weight training I went up to 15 stone and still wasnt particularly fat.. Even know that I've stopped training and started eating good food and put a bit of fat on Im not unhappy with my muscle/fat proportions
The worlds gone mad - if I weighed 11 stone I'd be like a twig!
PS: Kay do you have any mates in Hull that think like you? ;) LOL
i was like that when i was 18-19 toby but maybe a little heavier and i couldnt build up at all then i hurt my back and stopped training now i'm a few stone heavier could do with getting back into training now just to sort my general fitness out though

In my opinion i'm confident how i am now, i don't weigh myself, apart from when my gym instructor makes me, but i refuse to let him tell me.
I was very stupid a couple of years ago and went down to 7 stone, i just looked ill, and i was more self conscious than ever! So i'm now dead in the middle of what is expected for my height, age ratio. I think, as long as my river island jeans fit (they come up small) I'm happy, as soon as they start getting tight, it's time to diet! :p

Too right with the
"as long as my river island jeans fit (they come up small) I'm happy, as soon as they start getting tight, it's time to diet!"
Totally what I do.
But i do moan too much about my figure
I've just finished with my fella and he called me a fat bitch... pure knocked my confidence
but i had my bmi checked and its "ideal"
i fit into a size 12 nicely, although my curves seem to be pretty big
girls
ive got a 27 inch waist and 30(and a lil bit) inch hips
surely am i right!!!!
i want a bloke like one off here
who love curves
as my ex seems to adore skinny size 6's
but i didnt know that he thought i was fat til he had some massive go at me
*CRIES*!!!

exactly girls!!
when my size 12 jeans were gettin tight, i started to worry!
but i was ill a couple of months ago - completely lost my appetite and couldn't get outta bed for a week - lost 1st in a fortnight - and now i'm a size 10 - but my boobs have gone form an e to a dd - they've gone all mushy!!
i aint stick thin by far, and i do get my pre-menstural 'fat' days - but i love my figure - i think curves are far sexier than jutting hipbones and fried eggs for boobs any day!

I wouldn't class a 12 as curvy, i think thats skinny!. I would class a 16 as curvy.

You know that program "how to look good naked"
I always think im like a size 16
or that my body shape is the size of someone a lot bigger...
i bet most girls do that
i am dead curvy
ive got 25inch waist and 30inch hips
its dead wierd!
well, it is to me. surely thats not right?
those waisted belts made me look dead wierd haha.
glad they aint in fashion tht much anymore
Size 10/12 is ideal, as skinny girls just arent sexy, but then nor are fat ones! Problem is trying to convince a normal girl that she aint fat is a loosing battle im not going to get into. Thou in my experience, girls only get fatter, so a girl who starts off a 10/12 will be a 14 after youve been going out with them for a few months!
Size 10 with DDs is my idea of heaven thou!
