gearbox and engine size

hey i need help understanding this gearbox propblem. my old 1.6 gearbox for my XS blew the other week and since im low on funds the garage hooked me up wiv a 1.1 or a 1.4 gearbox from the scrappy. wuld this be bad for the gearbox as the power is way above the standard 1.1 output. or wuld i b ok in the long run????

I had a choice between the 2 as well, and i've been told to go for a 1.1 box mate. :)

1.1 box will be fine, i ran one oin my 1.4 xsi and 16v with no probs.

they all work fine, it depends what you want from gearbox as the ratio's are different between them, and 1.4 is longer than 1.1

thanx for the help. just had the car back wiv a 1.1 gearbox and it really quick off the mark now. onli goes too 105 now instead of 120 but who cares lol.
