Right,
I have truly had enough of going shopping with the missus. I am sick to death of being dragged around s**t shops that are all the same looking at boring clothes that are the same. However, there is one thing that annoys me more than anything - going to primark.
Now I don't know why, but the missus gets stupidly excited when she sees a primark store. She will go in and pick up one of the baskets that are very conveniently placed just inside the entrance. From here on, I am just a shadow following her.
She will proceed to traipse around primark picking up shit clothes that SHE DOESN'T EVEN WANT until her little round bag is completely full with items that she will probably never wear, but because they're cheap, that makes it ok. Then its off the till (with myself still being dragged). The queues are possibly the biggest ever in any shop, and, for some reason, the most annoying. Its not even as if the women behind the tills are fit, because they ain't!!!!
Then, when she has finally finished, its off to another crap shop. I don't even bother asking if I can go in any of my shops now because all I get is her moaning.
And for all you other guys reading this, when the missus asks you for your opinion on an item of clothing, respond with "yeah, its ok". I have found this to be the most neutral answer.
Lets hear your stories gents.

God I love being single LOL
I found the best way out of this is a 4 way shopping trip
Find a mate who has a girlfriend - suggest you all go together
10mins in the girls will be all excited about having someone to talk to and shop with, so you can slip off for a pint in the pub :)
Me and Darren did that in meadowhall a few years back - worked a treat!

shopping is a womans right of passage. But i would never take my bloke shopping with me, blokes annoy the hell out of me in shops, they are just so unenthusiastic. The only things blokes are good for is carrying the bags, but thats when us girls can act all weak and get the fit bloke from the shop to carry it out to the car for us. ;)
I took my ex boyfriend shopping, once in two years.... that was only because he couldn't be trusted to stay at home on his own, he moaned all the way there, he moaned about every insignificant thing you could possibly moan about.
Blokes are far worse than women shopping. I go by myself, and spend their money. :p :D
When i used 2 have a mrs, and we went shopping....we used 2 get annoyed with each other and go off shopping on our own usually!
but she was generally quite understanding....like....we would go in a blokes shop then a gals shop so neither of us got too bored

Never, ever say they look bad in something even if they do. They will either get annoyed with you and buy it anyway, or they will put it back and continue to look for another half an hour at a foul dress.
I just dont choose to go shopping with girls any more, unless its for something that will benefit the both of us. Leave that to the girl group, us blokes can continue shopping for manly things like... phones and erm... car stuff.

Are you saying that girls can't shop for phones and car 'stuff'?

I would go off on my own, but then the missus moans, I really can't win.
Like your idea Phil.
Lacey, what do you expect men to do if you drag them around clothes shop after clothes shop looking at boring clothes that you insist on our verdict on, be joyous? I think not. Then, if we do give our verdict and you don't like the answer, you get grumpy, figure that one out!
Why can't women just go on their own and not drag us around. If I go shopping, I go into a clothes shop, look around quickly, then if I see something I like, I try it on and buy it (if it fits ok), and if I don't see anything I like, I walk out. I don't stand there looking at clothes that I'm not interested in and don't like just because they're there!
God, I'm getting stressed talking about it!!! LOL!

aah im not saying girls might not LIKE that kind of stuff, but they never want to shop for it when they go "shopping".
you can 100% guarantee that a girl is shopping for clothes/bags/jewellery when they say they are going 'shopping' :)

God I'd be more than happy if I was dating Lacey - I'd just give her my credit card and stick my feet up in front of the xbox LOL

If I gave my missus my debit / credit card, I reckon she'd go out and buy really good-for-value things like a pot of £50 moisturiser, or a £20 lipstick, or maybe she would just go and spend loads of money buying clothes she will never wear from Primark, but hey, its cheap there so it don't matter right!!!!

Actually I gotta say fair play to my last ex who usually went shopping on her own and bought me presents, like clothes or dvd's :)

Really, you must be one of the lucky ones. If I'm lucky, mine will buy me a magazine from the market thats 3 months old

At least it is a present! lol :p
I don't mind going shopping with my missus. In fact I quite enjoy going shopping, but do prefer it when I go with my mates, because we go in better shops :)
I have noticed that if I tell her I don't like whatever she wants then she will leave it, until she next goes shopping without me when she will buy it! And then gets annoyed when she wears it and I say again that I don't like it! And I'm left thinking, why did you get annoyed, I told you that in the bloody shop!

I can't stand having my boyfriend with me, he's a shit shopping partner! I genuinely like to shop on my own because I can do what I like then! As long as he um's and ar's in the right places when I get home, I let him see what I bought from the knicker department ;)
I do however find that if you HAVE to take a bloke shopping, make sure they are well watered, well fed and you go in the shops they like as well! :D

ok ok..... The reason i don't take blokes shopping with me, apart from them being generally annoying is most of them don't like it, and if they do like it i get worried.
If i'm with someone and i go out shopping i will always bring them something back, or buy their stuff for them seeing as they are so incapable of doing it themselves.
There is stuff i don't like doing i.e. removing the spider from the bath, that the bloke does for me, so i'm more than happy to do the shopping.

at the end of the day, if you wana take a bloke shopping, youve gotta do somethin they want every so often. so you walk past a phone shop and he says 'ooo' you just go in with them... although i know more about phones than my bloke too. and cars.
looks like i need an upgrade.. so i can have something in common with them

lmfao.
screw that.... i hate taking blokes shopping full stop, even when they are paying for it, i'd rather pay for it myslef than have to drag him along with me. I'm so glad i'm single!
Actually there are two shops i used to dread being dragged in, the first is hmv (ex boyfriend was an mc and used to buy tons of vinyl, which is ok, buit don't ask me for my opinion on it, it doesn't even have any words!)
second is allsports (argh! if you ask to see one more pair of trainers i will rip your head off with my teeth, only for him to buy the first pair her tried on)

hahahaha
yeah thats so true
but i just teach them a lesson
and take them to primark
or topshop sale!
my best mates male
but he will stand an hour of shopping then have either food or a drink, and then he will stand it a bit longer
girls are still better to shop with
they know theyre safe if they say your ass looks fat in a pair of jeans or a dress
and unlike a bloke, wont get their head bitten off with the whole "well should i go on a diet" conversation
which we've all mentioned in the thread about girls and their diets hahaha

THE WORST THING IS... When they go into Mens shops with you and ur looking at clothes.. they insist on telling u wether they like them or not befor you have Had a real look at it..
to sum it up...
they dont like our decisions on their clothes
they have to make decisions about our clothes :D
:S dnt get me wrong i love ma Mrs

It's not just girls that are bad to shop with!! My OH likes to spend AAAAAGES looking at stuff and making sure he is getting the best thing etc. I don't mind when we are in somewhere interesting like a bike shop or Halfords, but not in town.
Then he has the cheek to say I faff in ASDA! as If ;), what would he eat if I did not faff!
I have to day though that I do fine he quite likes underwear sections in shops...........;) usually best to end the shopping trip getting him a present, haha.
