im basicly self taught. just find a song you like and search on google for the tab. also guitar pro is a HUGE help for timing ect, download the torrent ;).

Cheers mate - I actually think I might commit half an hour every night to trying to learn a bit - had a nice electric guitar in my room for 2 years nearly now that I've never learnt to play..

yer ive played guitar since i was 5, my teaches guitar for a career so i spose ive been quite lucky in that aspect :)
i play a fender telecaster 1992 american hand made (sunburst)
a fender stratorcaster 1990 american deluxe hand made (grey to silver)
a tanglewood acoustic and a schecter deluxe bass.
i also play in a professional soul band along with my dad, the money is good :)

well put it this way, youve finished doing your car back up, save your spare income on a nice guitar that will make you want to play.

learn your chords, then just mess about with em.
you'll pick up so much knowledge on music in general that way
