Now then all, I am new to the forum only just signed up.

neways i have a 2000 (x) reg 106 1.1 and i need help on removing the whole stereo to wire up the remote wire and amp wire.

anyone no how?? on my mates you can just slide it in n out easily but on this you cant.

any help is much appreciated.

what make is the headunit, you need to slide a thin metal plate between the head unit and cage, you should feel some resistance when sliding the plates in then slide the whole headuit and plates out.
You can get special radio keys dependant on the make of your headunit

u recon i can use a thin flat head screw driver?? n wen u say cage u mean the metal surround around the stereo?

^^ what he said.. surely if its an aftermarket hu it wil have removal keys/ holes...

wen i remove the HU ther is four thin rectangle hole two at the top n two at the bottom. also there is like clips on the sides. either of you no wich ones hold it in?

get some sony head unit removal pins then?. go down local halfords, motor-world or anywher.. and they shud do them...

u know the 4 holes?

u get a removal pin for the left and right.. they push in the 2 holes either side.. clip in.. and u pull and theoretically the head unit comes out :D

...jus to make sure any pics? or model number.. as it may be the clips on the side where the removal keys go?

there shud only be 1 type of key for sony.. u will soon see where they go lol
