I was gonna sell it for a punto gt but i dont want to now, after hearing alot of bad stuff, dont fancy rebuilding an engine wasting loads money.

I only put it up for sale on 2 sites a while ago. Decided to keep it but now its going, guys coming to look on sunday the 14th or Jan.

Not gonna buy a punto gt, might get a standard black 106 gti, lower it on rallye steelies. But we'll see :D

dont worrie the number plate is straight and i cut it down, steelies are awesome i used to have vts alloys on but i think i prefer the handling with the steelies on! There was a guy on the rallye register that used to have a white xsi with steelies on and i loved it to bits!!! think it had black morrettes aswell i lvoe morrettes also i wouldnt mind some for mine but there like hens teeth or very expensive!

Spec-wise, its got a 2000 GTi engine and gearbox (soon to be replaced by a 1.4 XSi 'box), lowered on Bilsteins, GTi front brakes and rear disc beam, Supersprint mani, Simota induction kit and a 2" pugsport exhaust.

very close - AX Forte

my drivers xsi one broke & my bf was breaking the forte at the time so i took them. ive modified them a bit by taking some foam out of the seat & making it more bucket like.

they are only in their til i get the cage fitted & find some decent lightweight buckets to go inside.

your car is really nice. mine got filthy on the way down :( couldnt be bothered to clean it once i got there. they both looked cute next to each other i thought.



Good idea on the foam, are they still comfy?

I thought they looked good together too. I only cleaned mine as Dani was parked next to me originally, polishing away so I was shamed into it :D

then after dropping a 16v in it and uprating every thing else on it a nice hairdresser pulled out in front of me in his alfa spyder...
which ended up in a nice bent front end and everything being transfered onto my third 106 (including the petrol in it :rolleyes: ) and the shell being scrapped

then sold the engine, brakes, wheels, exhaust (dont aks why.. it was a good idea for the short term but not the long term)
It sat in my drive for a while... a long while!! and is now neary ready to go back on the road with vtr engine fitted (£49 of flea bay) and some other mods...

needs a good wash and polish but she'll soon be back to her best

My boyfriend bought it for me, he saw it advertised and we couldn't resist. Its a really good runner and is totally standard apart from a KnN filter, which coincidentally, makes it sound incredible :blush:

It was deffinately worth it as i was originally going about getting a GTi, i think i made the right choice to get the 1.6 XSi first :D

Just few info from my car.

It's an 1.6l of February 1996. As it was one of the last XSi produced, I have from Peugeot some elements of the 16v car (brakes, chassis)

I make some changes.

- Dynamic ar inflow (Raceland, with double-layer green Filter)
- Direct exhaust (no cat, exhaust made for rallye championship) OMP Gr.N
- Eprom by Ruggeri (french specialist for french cars )
- Ultra light wheels (5kg each nude) Kosei K3 14 inches with Bridgestone RE720 185/55/R14
- 4/2/1 inox exhaust collector (Supersprint 500 € :eek:)
- 106 rallye air pipe admittance (my translation sucks If you can help me )
- Decreased 35 mm with 4 Bilstein B6 normal
- Superior strut bracer
- 266 mm 206s16 brakes (that rocks!!!!)
- PugSport sun protection (help me again I dunno how to call that)

Aww... And last thing, I have emptied the whole rear of my car. No rear seats. No more rear seatbelts and plastic protection rear side :D

I was searching google about the xsi and the alarm problem and they've got a really big site over there in france all dedicated to the xsi (the links jeggad posted) and put this site in return so maybe a few more will sign up .

I created the french xsi board, I just knew the 106rallyeregister, I didn't know this website was existing before Jeggad gave to me the URL.

And as he said, we hope to be able to organise a meeting between each 106 Owners from each side of the se!!!

The GTI (s16) Wheels suit it weel, I do agree ;).
Well this is my car after all, so it is normal that I like it .
And the vents in the bonnet are helpful to decrease the Temperature, I will see if this helps with a dynamic air inflow


A little bit more information about my car :
106 XSI 1.4l catalyst or catalysted? ( don't know the exact term to use) so 95 BHP.

I bought it with 48 000kms, now it has 90 800kms so 56420miles.
The colour, you have seen it before.

My car just have the followings parts :
- Final Exhaust OMP 76mm
- Middle Exhaust (don't know the name for this, from the 100 BHP XSI, so without catalyst)
- Decreased by 35 mm with 4 Peugeot Sport Performances / Springs Eibach
- Superior strut bracer OMP
- I have emptied a part of the rear of my car. No more rear seats and two more things ( the things where most part of the tuners put their speakers)

- Dynamic air inflow (Raceland, with double-layer green filter or ITG filter)
- 266 mm 206s16 brakes (that rocks!!!!) I already tried some, but now I have bought the new one, from 207 ;).

I have too the Saxo VTS's wheels ( called Toulouse in France), I will certainly paint those in black :D, like I wanna do to the GTI(s16) wheels.

Well this one was a mine, pic of the day I bought it and had it trailored to the house (no mot or tax for 4 years). Then pic after all the work I'd done, most of it being electrical fault finding, getting the engine to run, and then a few external things. Unfortunatly had to be scrapped after an incident while being towed, not recoverable really. If I could have another at some stage I would, they're just hard to find here in NI, lol
