Headunits - DVD + Ipod controls

Hi
I am looking for a good quality head unite that can control my ipod, but i would like to be able to play dvd's as well. Are their any headunits under 400 that do this. or is it worth buying the dvd player seperatly?

Theres loads, JVC do a headunit with a built in screen thats fully ipod compatable or all the decent brands, (kenwood, pioneer, alpine) make headuints with retractable screens starting around £400

I've got a SeViC, £200, cds, dvds, radio, (also tv ready).......it doesnt have ipod controls, but u can plug it in....what i do is attach an ipod holder to the air grille and attach it there, leave it unlocked and its no different from using the dvd player to select songs or the iPod.
Im in the middle of making a wire so i can play videos off my ipod tho.....but the wires sooooooo tiny!! :(:(:(:(

you can buy pre-made cables to output video and audio from your ipod for about £3

m8 u can get a JVC AVX33 + jvc ipod adapter box for about 400 quid on ebay...or even if you have a look on the net you can get a good enough deal on them...try car audio security!

ive found if you want dvd, screen and great sound quality then you have to pay big bucks!
im buying the pioneer avh-p5900 soon thats about 600 quid and a great allrounder but once you want ipod connections and tv and things the price starts going really high,
id reccomend a descent head unit for your ipod and good sound quality then just a cheap-ish (not shyte though) dvd and screen and wire them all up, veba do a good one in most motor-world stores for around 150 quid.
im selling my alpine iDA-X001 as new condition, meant to be THE BEST stereo for an ipod. amazing sound quality and as new condition, were around 400 but i think ya can get them on offers for like 330 now. you can have mine for 200 ish then but the veba set from motor world end up costing all together about 350 and youve got a as new stereo (best for ipods) great sound quality and a dvd unit with 7" screen.
