To be fair there are 2 types of bikers

My dad is a biker - has been all his life - overtakes and doesnt stick to the speed limit but does it all sensibly!

Then you get the sports bikers - all early/mid 20's and ride like wankers - wrong side of the road, triple speeds, cutting cars up

Its just the way things go - its the same with cars - you get enthusiasts and chav's

Granted, there is small percentage that ride sensibly (very small), but the majority think that its ok to do way way over the speed limit, overtake either on blind corners, when its illegal to overtake, or both.

Some car drivers are just as bad (namely chav's), but theres more chance of surviving in a car than there is on a motorbike.

Firstly they are not paying to use our roads, which causes me great greivance. secondly they ride alongside eachother instead of single file so you end up crawling behind them for about half a mile until there is a suitable place to overtake them. and Thirdly.... buy a fucking car!

That's right, where it's safe and the roads clear, I give it a handful. But like many others on two wheels, i do it when there is no risk to me or others. I don't speed past schools at 3pm at 80mph or any other crazy shit like that. having spent six months in the local hospitial after a crash, i'm all to aware of what happens when it goes wrong. But you are treating all bikers like idiots that risk life and limb for no reason.

There are muppets out there, but don't tar us all with the same brush mate. Buried one lad last year, 19, wiped out by a car doing a u-turn in front of him, police say mike was doing roughly 45 to 48 mph, in a 50. didn't even have time to brake, killed instantly.:( car driver got a 18 month ban, thats all.

I hate people that join roads/motorways and don't accelerate to the speed of the road, causing me to brake. I find it difficult to not lose my rag and overtake them, out of sheer frustration! I don;t though, because if i crashed and died, I'd be even more pissed off :mad:

Don't get me wrong. There are responsible motorists around. But when one 18 year old thug covered in zitts overtakes me at warp speed on GSXR and afterwards says that he had plenty reserve power and that it was safe. That maybe so, but the average driver is not aware of the capabilities of a motorcycle. So what he thinks is safe, is deadly scaring to the average car driver. And then when you twitch and do something wrong which causes harm to come to the motor driver, then you're to blame..... Dont think so.
We should consider each other more.

And yes, I have a license to drive a motorcycle also.

i think that 80% (almost exact figure think it was 82%) of motorbike fatalities are caused by Nobeds in cars, not chavs or enthusiasts specifically but people who just drive in a daze all the time.. Motorbikers take chances as much as you do in ur 106's you cant possibly be telling me that u dont accelerate round B roads fuzzy with ur pugsport exhaust screaming.. the one way to combat motorbike fatalities is to make everyone take a motor bike test thatway people will be looking for the same thing and actually notice bikers and possibly drive in a state of alertness..

But when they come up behind me, I usually know when they are going to let it open, and always leave a bigger gap inbetween me and the car infront for the bike if he gets any probs.

was in my girlfriends car today, country road so no place to overtake, go round a corner and there two cyclists side by side. as you do i was like arghh gay, but theyll move over. and they didnt, stayed side by side for a mile and a half (all blind bends so no overtaking)

i was so pissed off

a) if you ahve a horse, ride it in a field not the road
b) if you have a bike, ride in a convoy, not side by side in your stupid leggings lol
