Ok guys,

I'm wondering will my toyo T1-S be good enough on track, or whether i should invest in some R888.

I know a lad who put some R888's on his 205 rallye, and he only managed something like 8k miles with them!!!

R888's look lethal if the rain came down, but look quality if the suns out.

i have a set of yoko A048's n they r awsome but i have also tracked on my uniroyle rain sports nand they were more fun,

pluse if you meet a wall of water if it all of a sudden rains (like it did to me at croft) and theres standing water u have no control you just aqua plain, if the track is damp and ya tyes r warm then you will be fine,

like said above though they are very expensive for the amount of miles you will get out of them.

ive use r888 all the time, they are a great tyre in the dry and wet as long as theres no standing water.
what suspension have you got? if you run r888 or yoko a048's then it will show any weakness in yor suspension setup.

Only issue with the R888 (other that there life from the sounds of it lol) are they come
in 50 profile at the least. No 45 profile available.

Also Toyo T1S tyres are discontinued Ive heard. They only do the T1R tyres.

Hey buddy!
Been up to my eyeballs of late lol. Moved out not long after the trackday and since
then have had some ups and downs but its all good. Plus no internet at the new
flat :(

Cars fine now, turned out that the standard airbox caused the fault. The pipe
from the rocker to the airbox was feeding oil! So the oil was running into the mix
and burning out the rear (hence the smoke). Had a BMC fitted since then as
well as other bits which seems to have fixed. Compression checks came out spot on.

Next trackday will be FCS now I think, monies a bit tight. Hopes your cool anyhow! Anyways back to tyres lol :D

Will put some more updates in my thread whereever it is now.
