Cost Of Spraying?

Hey,

What would be the cost of getting the:
- Front Bumper
- Rear Bumper
- Mirror
- Door Handles

the same colour as my car? Will be going down to the garage next week, but would like to see what estimate you guys give me. So I dont get ripped off :-\

Is it hard doing it your self?

its quite hard wiv a few cans, doing it youself, but if you have a booth and proper spray gun........ ::)
id say, based on quotes ive had for jobs, you looking at about £300 matey

I'd have a bash at door handles and mirrors myself - but if you're getting the bumpers done they might aswell do the rest while the paints mixed up

I suspect you will be looking £300-£500 depending on where you go mate

Does all of the plastic need smothing, to get the uneven bumps out of it?

If you prep the work yourself, ie sand it down and maybe put some undercoat on, they might knock the price down a bit......

Phil, are the standard black handles jus stickers on standard handles? is it possible to jus take em off and be left wiv just the standard handle?

The bumpy strip is just a sticker mate - but they are obviously black underneath

I took the bumpy bits off mine and then had the handles sprayed when I got my doors delocked

Sorry to whore, but if i took off the pimples how would i go about respraying the handles. What sort of paint? i no you can get the silver from halfords, but do you need a undercoat first or a lacquer at the end or anything? i haven't a clue lol

Sand down mate. 3 coats of primer, sanding inbetween coats, 3 coats of colour and then 2 coats of laquer.

Go halfords and get grey primer, your silver and clear laquer.

Cheers mate. Any particular type of sand paper? You think i could do it all in one day?

Im guessing youv'e done this before , so, was it easy to get the handles off?

I havn't done handles but have done other body bits, like grills etc on girlfriends car.
