i have a set of fk coilovers mate. they say that they will only lower your car around 55mm i think it is. however, for people like you that just want to go really low you can remove the helpar spring. This should give you around another 40-50mm, on my set anyways.
This will give serious wear to your driveshafts and trackrods though, also because of the angle they will be your car will not handle to its full capabilities.
It will look amazing though. Hopes this helps.

www.europerformance.co.uk (http://www.europerformance.co.uk) for the coilovers.

if you ahve coilovers, do you get rid of ur shocks or do you need both? whats the advantage of coilovers over standard suspension?

if you have coilovers you can lower almost as much as you want providing your shocks are prepared for it.you just use shorter springs butthen you have a chance of going coilbound, the advantage of coilovers is that you can adjust ride height very accurately, and another thing is that there are many variety of sprin lenght/rates.

for height purposes isnt it pointless due to the torsion bar on the rear?

in my opinion id say yes for normal use. although if you do a lot of trakdays then coilovers are a benifit because its easier to ajdust the setup all be it just the fronts.

TBH ive been told be a few people not to bother with coilovers unless im tracking the car

Ive used coilovers on mine, due to the springs being a lot thinner, so i could move the top mounts out to give it wide track, standard springs wouldnt fit once i had modified the top mounts. You can get softer spring rates, to lower the car more and still keep it safe, then you would get rid of helper springs. Im dont have to worry about rear torsion bars, as im on springs all round, so the rear is easy to lower, but the torsion bars will alter slightly when you raise or lower the fronts, if you put them on the highest setting it will bring the rear up a bit, and vice versa as there is not much weight in the rear anyway, or thats what i found anyway.

still not answered first question thou as id love some shorter springs for mine,
id love coilovers but cant really see point as rear not as easy to adjust as front slammed for shows set right for roads, and ultimate track set up

Get some springs with a lower spring rate than the ones you get in the kit, that should lower it more.

most only go that much because of how the setup works on a 106, ie dampner going into the orginal strut etc.

Best way to get round it is to just get custom springs made when you order the coilovers, thats what i did anyways, handles fine.

sorry to hyjack, but where did you get your coilovers from and did you have to give your struts in as replacement??

Mine came from euo performance, and i never had to return the old struts, but they were £695 with carriage. They are h and r ones, i would get cheaper ones next time, but i didnt know any better.
