The problem is when i reverse my car, it makes a loud squealing noise, could it be pads/discs? I put new pads/discs all round around 6 months ago

maybe the pads mate. also check to make sure the retainer springs are in, if there not in properly they can make a horrible squeel

might be a pain in the arse, but might be a pad is on at an angle so when the disc is going 4wards it's fine, but when it rotates the oposite direction it rubs and therefore squeaks? just a thought, if you can narrow down which wheel the noise is coming from, take the wheel off and have a look at the pads. don't know if this is any help but better than spending hundreds getting a jobsworth checking it out!!!!!
could be the disc is mis-aligned too, worth checking

Dont suppose you got drilled/grooved discs? Maybe the way that the pad has been worn means when it goes backwards, it catches the disc slightly. Just a thought.
