Doing this tonight and just got a few questions :)

Firstly, I will remove the front seats. Now I've read Mikey's thread about this and it says to unplug pretensioner. This may be a stupid question but is that something to do with an airbag and would a non-airbag Rallye have one? Do I have to unconnect the battery before I unplug this (if I have one :p)

So, when the seats are out of the way, what else will I need to remove to take the carpet out?

Cheers :)

Its a wire going to the seat belt

Basically in an accident the seat belt pulls down to pull you into the seat
Its part of the air bag system so yours might not have them but dont know

Orange cable on bottom of seat

You then have to remove the rails for the seat belts (you'll see) and then pull up the rubber door seals and undo the little carpet retaining clips

Center console will have to go
And you have to cut the carpet to get round the dash in the middle - but the cut isnt visible when you put it back in as its under centre console :)

Cheers Phil, that's great stuff :)

My brother thinks I do have the cable under the seat. I'll go out and give it a go when I've had my tea :)

All done now and looking sweet :D I did have the cable, so just unplugged it. The S1 carpet needed some slight modification for the S2, mainly under the dash ;) Was too dark when finished so no pics until tomorrow :)

Also whist the seats were out I refilled the drivers side seat bolster with some foam

I got mine second hand off the Rallye Register forum, but it was quite dirty and shabby to be honest. Giving it a good clean tomorrow or monday ;)

Not sure if any of the 106 models had black carpet as standard?

Fuzzy - I've only just noticed the clips under the door seals today! :p Doh, that's why it wasn't staying in!
