Just want to say many many thanks to all that turned up

From as far away as leicester and grimsby
Sun was shining all day - got quite sun burnt - my car ran much better than I had hoped for - and there was a lovely variety of 106's

wow what a great day out, gorgeous clean cars (incl mine which makes a change), hot weather, good pub grub & a great sunday drive out.

i took the scenic route home to grimsby, up to wragby, across to market rasen and then up to binbrook, round some dodgy country lanes past lots of sheep & back to home.

Was a great meet. Joe got most of the pictures i think, wait for him to come online later.

We had a nice ride home too, envying Phil because his car didnt even think about rolling a millimeter around corners!!

Was a good day have got some piccies but wont be uploaded till at least tomorrow (sorry) enjoyed the turn out and was some nice 106's ... enjoyed the drive out as well the cars sounded great as we were driving around.

yeah was a good meet sos i didnt talk much it takes a while 34 me to get the balls to talk 2 people lol we should do this again sum time was fun. the weather was top notch and the cars were fantastic shame there wernt many cars that turned up oh well cant av everything lol

Cars look amazing

LMAO @ Dan - The driver is whimping out waaay before the 106 does hehe, when im looking down to see over 90 coming up to fairly sharp bends and it still grips like mad - I just get scared and back down LOL

Im loving my vtr induction noise - the cars running a lot better than I though it would
It has loads of power up above 5k, think im gonna have to find a way to lose my rev limiter cos its still pulling like a train at 6k

how grippy are those proxes??? was thinking about getting some, but very limited sizes as im on 14s

Vickie, the toyos grip like mad - they are mental

But I hear they only last 3 months if you chuck em about and cost me £94 for a pair - so not cheap :(

The engine LOL its a 206 1.4 block, with 106 ancillaries from a 99 spec (single plug car), and a saxo vtr inlet manifold and throttle body. All run from 2000 spec (triple plug) ecu and wiring loom

A massive hybrid of parts - but the 206 engine hasn't done a single mile it was brand new from pug. So a bit of a bargain as it only cost me £40 LOL

Only got it running yesterday but its working a treat as I'm sure Dan noticed on the way home

Only problem is its making peak power up near 6k and i've still got the 6200rpm rev limiter
Might get a dastek so I can tweak the fuelling a bit and up the limiter to 6800rpm

Because i couldnt keep up with the car infront of me, which was taking corners at star ship enterprise speed, and overtaking cars on stretches of road about 2 meters long before a blind corner comfartably! LOL

Everyone makes me sound reckless :( :(, I'm not that bad am I?

That bit of road we took is my exact road to work that I travel every day so I know it like the back of my hand

The overtaking was just a test - I wanted to see how much mid range pull the new engine has, its not too bad really

You dont have to worry about 90 degree bends at the end of an overtake when you know you can go round them at 3 figures LOL

Its difficult after 2 weeks of not driving to remember what it was like before

It seems to have more torque now, thats noticeable, and its got more mid-range grunt

It used to all be low down, but now overtaking seems a lot easier LOL

The biggest improvement has been the new wishbones, ball joints, track rod ends and powerflex kit all round
The handling is so tight it feels like a brand new car again, and the way it sticks to the road on bends is nothing short of amazing

It made me grin today and I only got to put my foot down a few times :)

Some good pics there and a good meet. I did take some pics but they're on kays camera (the lass that was with me) and I'm not sure how to use it LOL.

It was a good meet not been to one for ages and it was fun just having a ride out (christ I sound old lol) I enjoyed showing the power of the GTi-6 though lol ... although mikeys GTi didn't look too far behind when I checked my mirrors up the bypass.

Sorry we left early we'd been up since 5am so were pretty knackered by the time we left.

I'm looking forward to the next one ... would anyone object if I tried to get a couple of 306's down? Just so I dont feel left out lol
