Having problems finding A539's, have gone through lots of tyres and find these have been best although very quick wearing. Was going to get R888's or A048's but almost seem they would be too grippy on a 106gti and it would lose its predictable handling and would grip grip and then just snap and let go, where as I feel A539's will be a whole lot less grippy but alot more progressive in grip loss

You can get any yokie from polleymotorsport.co.uk but i'm not sure on his prices for these. Phone number is on the website, give him a buzz.
I don't think Yoko make the 539's anymore :(

They are brilliant in the wet just need abit of heat in them, not too great on standing water but I rate them better in toyos overall, much more sticky when warmed up well

the yoko a539 can also be bought from the website... www.mytyres.co.uk (http://www.mytyres.co.uk)
they are quite cheap... i jus orderd four yokos in 195/45/14 and it cost me 180 deliverd.
my A539's were fine in the wet so long as they were warm and you didnt hit any standing water...
summer tyre deffo
They dont make them in the size I have anymore :( I went to Tweeks before Xmas, and they rang Yoko, and theyre no longer made in that size *hmph* fab tyres too...

you lot cant drive if you think 539's are grippy
they broke grip everytime
in the summer i struggle to get toyo's to even squeel to hint there about to break grip
guess its driving styles though
We dont all drive like were on a rally tho Mark :p

ive just bought 4 yokos why do ppl think there so crap
I thought there where good, mine were the SS compound though.
But I only have my avons to compare them to so I dont really get the bigger picture.
Mine were fine. Were no worse imo in the wet than my mates car which had toyos on!
And they seem to last longer :)

Ive used mine on 2 106`s now, and i just dont feel like they are giving propper grip compared to what i have on the xsi wheels. I had dunlops before and they were great, it never span the wheels even in the wet. The yokos spin without revving hard but they are good when braking. I wouldnt choose them again, i thought they would be better than they are, the steering seems to go light on corners, but in the dry they are great.
Well my Bro had/s them on his 306 205/45/R17 IIRC.
He reports they were already fitted when he bought the car which had 115k on at the time, the fronts were changed 45k later while the rears, 60k later, are still good, the fronts wearing due to incorrect alignment, he has since had it laser aligned.
He says the grip in the wet is 'ok' but they are a pretty hard tyre so one must respect that.
If I can get them, I'll be fitting them to my ZX when its done, thats how much I'm pressed with the wear rates (lets face it 17" rubber isn't that cheap)
think i'd rather take my chances with nankang donkey kong death racer pro suicide racing edition tyres than yoko's
