are the 306 Diesel turbo calipers the same as the 306 XSI calipers? or are they a good upgrade from the shit 1.1 brakes i seem to have aquired with my 1.6 :P lol thankyou

Measure the disks diameter mate.

I think they are 26mm. Should be a good upgrade from the 106 std brakes.

Not sure about the calipers having any difference on the piston size but wouldn't think so.

Without an ABS i would say 266mm is very good cause the 283mm would block easily

definately the best modification that i have invested in... you can pick em up failry cheap and they make a massive difference in stopping compared to the quiky brakes! if you also keep with 14" alloys they look mahooosive behind them! trick!

If you have standard steelies with plans to upgrade but not sure whether to go for 15's or 14's yet, what are the best brakes to go for?

266mm will go behind 14's and 15's and are shit hot compared to standard
283mm will go behind 15's and will look the absolute dogs danglies!!

If it's Quiky steels the 266mm 206 GTi brakes should just go under as they're 14 inch. Will be plenty of stopping power for a 1.4.

Plus are the XSi and HDI ones the same, or same size??

306 d turbo are 247mm iirc

306 xsi is 266mm.

they will if you have 15"rims, but you have to grind down the carriers slightly
