15s, 16s or 17s???

i'm lowering my car next week and don't know which size wheels to get??

and how much 2 lower it??

15s would be easiest mate, and even with them on, you're likely to get rubbing with people in the back once its lowered.

35-40 mm is the usual amount

40mm on 15's with uprated dampers all round
16's will go on if you dont lower it, if you do you'll need minor arch work
if you use 17's you'll need major arch work

Anything from 35mm to 50mm looks good

Cant got wrong with 15's or 16's...17's dont look good in my opinion :)

IMO 50mm look best, however 30mm is normal deemed best for handling.

my Gmax dampers were 60quid for the rear, no idea on fronts

to be honest you would probly be best to but a sports kit which has 2 springs and 4 shocks usually works out cheaper or you can go all out for coilovers on the front and new uprated shocks on the back however i dont know if you are aware that the rear has torsion bars so you will need to find somebody to lower it for you unless you want to tackle it yourself

yeah i'm getting the torsion bar lowered and i'm buying some springs for the front.

how much are shocks??

and do i need to get them right away or will it be ok for a week or two??

i'd do the fronts all at once, its just easier rather than havin to piss about takin them apart again, the backs can be done at any time

Personally id go for 14"s. Looks the nuts when you lower it by a nice healthy ammount.

15s are for pure drivers car
17s are a bitch you lose all feel from steering needs fair ammount of work
16s are what id go for.
am runnin 17s on my saxo at min cos my 16s have blad tyres on
