Hi All, Just wondering if anyone out there knows if a S2 1.1 Zest 3 without ABS has a Bias valve for the rear brakes?????
I have searched around the rear torsion bar but found nothing.
My problem is I have next to no braking performance from the rear end but the handbrake is fine. Just wondering whether the bias valve is knackered and not letting enough pressure through to the rear cylinders or both cylinders are seized. No grinding noises from the back end so i'm presuming the shoes are fine.
FYI the car is standard ride height. Any ideas anyone?????

im 99% sure all 106's have the bias valve, becuase it was design to even braking when the car is heavily loaded in the back.

i was always under the impression it was the bigger engined models with the bias valve, mines lowered and its all fine..

OK checked under the car today, no bias valve. Followed the brake lines form the master cylinder right back to the drums. Must be the brake cylinders seized.

Only rear disc'ed models have the load compensator valves on the beam.

Yeah, only disc models have a bias valve, the drum models have them built into the cylinders or something like that. Take the drums off and push the cylinders back in, they should move easily.
