Going to have a rant about the fuel price.
Feel free to join in.

It aint a case of I dont want to pay it, its just I dont see why we have to pay so much for it.

I passed about 10 petrol station on my way to work this morning and all the prices were different.

Closest to home - 93.9p/l
Closest to work - 88.9p/l

Why the variation over 30miles?
Why so much? I know that Mr Gordon Brown (w****r) (cough) has put the tax up by 2p/l on fuel but surely the fuel companies could absorb some of this?

I have thought about having a tank put in at home and having the fuel delivered direct for cheap or even buying a v8 landrover discovery and converting it to LPG.

Rather annoys me that they do this, fine for the people that live in central london and can use alternative methods of transport for commuting but us lot in the country are screwed, not only on fuel but on the road tax scheme where you would be paying by the mile.

:D

Agreed! (emphasis on greed, cos that's what its all about, scummy politicians want to take as much money as they can from us.)

I agree, fuel prices are silly. There is a stretch of road near to where I work that is about 10 miles long. At one end there is a Shell garage. Here they charge atm ( this stands for 'at the moment' guys, not anything else you dirty buggers!!) 90.9 pence per litre. Not too bad. At the other end there is a JET garage, here they charge 99.8 pence per litre!!! Absolutely flippin' ridiculous. The government should put a foot down (no pun intended) on petrol stations that take the piss.

JET SUCK!!!!!

I tend to use Tesco as it seems to be the cheapest round here. I don;t use the car as much as i can because of fuel prices. Foooking expensive, especially when you are out in the sticks :(

only two things certain in this life, death & TAX.

The goverment will tax fuel & cars always, because people need them to go about their daily lives.

It's a guaranteed revenue stream for the Tax Office.

And with all the CO2 emissions and global warming debate they can get away with making the taxes even worse.

I'm not a tree hugger, but i wouldnt go out of my way to disrupt what a lot of green people do to try and be more environmentally friendly, but how is a small-ish country in the world having heavy taxes on cars and fuel if china and the USA paprticuarly, and all the other countries continue to have worse emissions? Its a bit of a con really.

I've never though of it that way...Even worse, countries that are still developing liek Africa etc.. when they gfet more developed and have more cars, they;re not gonna worry about CO2 emmisions!

Global warming is a crock of shit - dont even get me started on it

There isn't any evidence cars cause global warming at all - its just a natural event

And besides if reports are to be believed we'll be out of oil to make petrol in like 20-30 years anyway

The government in this country are utter wankers, you know I read the other day that to fix every single pot hole or below average condition road would cost like £1billion

And every year they get £6billion in road tax, but they wont give councils enough money to fix the roads

WTF am I paying road tax for then? Im paying for the privelage to use roads that they wont maintain?
GRRRRRRRRRRR

i'm always one to man about fuel costs cos i'm always filling up, and get a very maximum of about 250 to a tank driving like a girl on the motorway then i think i have a fair right lol like.

but you guys who drive economical quikies etc shouldnt worry too much

feel for people like my mate who can get their evos down to 80 miles to 50 quid!

im not really too bothered about petrol, even though i cant really afford it, its just something that we need and have to pay for.
im just glad ive been born into a time where ill actually be able to drive a proper car on proper fuel before they start making em battery powered or some shit.
i do agree that it is too expensive though.

No but it is a sensible thing ;) I only use my car twice a week, tops! I use public transport/walk everywhere else! But I'm not saying people should be denied a good drive in the country ;)

I think tossers who drive about round town in Leeds for the sake of it are just wasteful and pointless.

Dont get me going on damn tax on petrol!
70% of what you pay on fuel goes straight to the damn government.
If they didnt tax us then we would only pay like 28p per litre!!!

Damn ****ing government!!!
