My 106!

I thought it was about time I made a proper thread. :)

Picked her up in Feb 2006 from south wales. I wasn't really planning on changing my car until about this time last year when I decided I really wanted a black gti so in the end the perfect one came up and I bought it. :) My first ever pic after picking her up:

Had a lovely summer with her and went to lots of shows, I even went up the hill at pugfest. ;D

Then very shortly before christmas some little shit did this:

It went right down to the bare metal as you can see on the pic. I couldn't describe how upset and angry I was but I felt better as the insurance got it done quick, they took the car on the Monday when it happened on the Saturday night.

Got her home just before christmas and £600 lighter, they painted everything except the 3 panels on the passenger side, they weren't gonna paint the bumper but I paid them extra to do that and take a few dents out.

Back home with fresh paint but sadly my light was screwed so the standard ones had to go back on. They will stay for now.

I have some new toys that need to be fitted shortly, I just need to get a few more things and I will get her booked into the garage. :)

It's also no longer parked on the drive, it's kept hidden away in the garage incase someone tries to do it again. >:(

I haven't been out in it yet but I will later. It feels so different. The mounts have really firmed it up and the manifold has made it sound louder.

I think that will be the most I will do to it for now but I have lots of little things I want to do like...

Bigger brakes of some sort - either some new 4pots or 306/206 gti brakes
New front bumper
Have the morrette repaired
Wing mirrors & sunroof surround resprayed
Paint the calipers black

It's a supersprint :D I got it before christmas but its only just been fitted lol. :) The induction kit is a ITG maxogen carbon filter. I've never seen one on another 106. They sell for nearly £400 on motorsportworld :eek: but I got this one cheap!

The rockers look really dirty because they need to be cleaned up, I'm thinking about having them chromed at the moment to make them easier to maintain.

Picked this up including the transformer cheap about last month. Will give it ago once it gets a bit warmer :) I need to order some more pads and a polish first though.

It was about £100 for pc, transformer, pads (theres about another 3 that aren't in the pic) and 2 bottles of polish. :) Gonna try it on the micra first though. lol :D
