4 stud conversion

i know this has been asked before but what would i need in order 2 convert my car to 4 stud.
so far i have:
1)rear beam of s1 rallye
2)front struts of s1 rallye
3) front disks

what else would i need?

same conversion as me mate!! You'll need the calipers, if yours wont fit. You also need to get the wishbones from the Rallye (different to 1.1's) if you are going to use the anti roll bar. You MAY also need S1 handbrake cables, however ive just done this conversion and my S2 cables work fine.

Other people suggest that you use the driveshafts as well, but again mine work fine

stupid question but what does the anti roll bar do, an do i have to use it?

the anti roll bar reduces body roll in the corners and stiffens up the front end, You dont have to use it, but it is worthwhile having

Driveshafts are bigger on 4 studs, your'll need them.

cos i fink the rest is pretty straight forward

Ive just done mine and ive used the 3 stud shafts, wishbones are easy bud. Have u got a Haynes manual?

yes mate it tells you in there how to do it, wll not the actual conversion but how to remove parts and change them etc

what i would also suggest doing as well bud, if your budget will allow it, get new wheel bearings, shock absorbers, pads, discs, shoes, bushes, ball joints etc

If you do it now your basically starting off with brand new suspension. If you dont you get 5 mins down the road and the shockes and bearings turn out to fucked etc

its of 106nicks rallye, so ther in good condition. da rer beam has vtr shocks, front struts apex springs, nearly new wishbones.

nt sure woz jus gonna get steelies 4 da mo cos i cant afford alloys. i like da asia tec black an silver wolfraces tho, so im on da lookout for a cheap set lol

get some rallye or C5 steelies. Do the wolfrace ones have a black centre and a polished rim?

Dont get a cheap set if you can because you'll only regret it!!! At least get something from an established manufacturer;)

yeah they do have the polished silver lip. i woz gonna get steelies permanently but im nt sure how thy wud luck cos i wnt to put smoked rear lights and black angel eyes on, unless i get black steelies!!!! lol

stupid question, but my cars got a front arb right? an cud i still use mine or wud i have to use the one of the rallye?
