After about three hours of hammering , heating , oiling , drawing and swearing my torsion bar came out tonight! Just the other one to go then we can slam her! anyone else had much trouble wit theirs? I think it was the blowtorch that finnaly freed it up , heated on the passenger side for about 20 minutes....

nice one. i was on mine for 3+ hours and still couldn't get it out. hitting, oiling, using a socket, ended up ripping the thread out. rethreaded it the other day but taking it to a garage to get it done next lol. let them feel the pain!

i had 3 attempts at mine before i took it to a garage to do, took him an hour lol

i too stripped my thread out, however, with a bar and a hammer, you can go round the opposite side and smash them through, make sure you have something stopping the swing arm falling off, i wedged a block of wood between my swingarms and the wall

i was so relieved when they came out, you get a nice sense of satisfaction lol

Even with severe heating takes me and my old man about 45 mins minimum, heating it up, one banging each side of the torsion bar and the other tightening the bolt.

Would hate to do the job without heating it all up first.
