Get a water cooler.

Not as noisey as fans but could be fatal lol ;)

Yup, I was gonna say water cooler, but there is some awesome fans on the market nowadays, that are almost silent, and do as good a job as a water cooler.
Awesome spec though mate. I think its time for 2gb RAM in this computer, as the 1gb, can't keep up sometimes heh. :D

For air cooling, which im guessing your using currently, you havent said what case you have, some cases are dire for intake and outake of air.

Check out:

Great free program for monitoring the processor temp. I have an AMD 64 3000+ (old!) which runs at 43'c during COD4 sessions but can support up to 75'C so you should be ok on temp. I think Intels run cooler than AMDs but I think they can go up to 99'C

The Q6600 is fine with a decent cooler, I have an Arctic Freezer 87 Pro and core temps never go above 60C even when 3d rendering or encoding video.
