Had a brainwave at about 3 o clock yesterday afternoon, 'buy a sub!'
My god, how difficult does it want to be?! Me, my mates nikki and James were all struggling with it.
Managed to cut my arm open trying to get the power cable through, my car is in an awful state at the mo, no glove box, no heating (as i managed to blow half my fuses) and no music at all....
got wiring to look forward to tonight (again) and i'd really rather do anything but.
last time i had a brainwave like this i primered my wing mirrors..... hopefully this will be ina better state than them.
Thanks to Tim who saved us much hassle, you are a ledge! ;)

I hate adding wiring to existing car looms, so fiddly and it makes my fingers itch. So I dont bother!

Oh my god its EASY lol
I can wire an amp in the boot up in about an hour in a 106 - you just have to know where to put things ;) LOL
Next time you have a brain wave wait till my car's fixed and i'll pop down for the weekend and help you LOL

LOL damn you!
You trapped me with your female cunning!
If you really want your car lowered I might have a go - you'll have to come up and stay at mine for a weekend though - which will involve drinking loads of alcohol and laughing at me when Im hungover for the entire of the next day ;)

well.... finally.... it's all done! Thank Jesus!
keep blowing my fuse for the cd player though, had to change it 3 times last night, which was adequately annoying.
but it's finished now and i can rest easily knowing i'm never attempting that again. ;)
one small problem, checked all the fuses and no more have blown so why the hell is my heating (blower) not working???!

Don't know about the heater thing (checked all the fuses in the engine bay and inside?) but HAHA, sound systems are easy, lol. All you need to get the power cable into the car is a piece of stiff wire, use it as a guiding rod then pull the power through.

Never touch ICE systems myself. In the past it has cost me an extra set of speakers or the odd radio, because I did it DIY. Combined with french car electronics (equals dodgy), you can imagine what happend.
In my citroen BX it was so bad. After ruining 2 sets of speakers and 1 radio (a cheap one) I gave up. The car had all dodgy wiring behind the dash. When you used the cigaret lighter at night, all lights in the dash would go dark.
You just have to love french cars ;)
