I'd come along
Could we maybe have a different location though? The food there was utterly crap last time.. :(

Stay in Lincoln?
If so, theres the Brown Cow on the A46 from Lincoln towards Market Rasen.
Ive always wanted to go there...
Otherwise, anyone else have any ideas of good places to go??
Could go back to the Pride, but I found it expensive.

I always quite liked the pride but then its irrelavant as I'm late turn on the 20th so wont be coming anyway lol.
I think we should keep the meets going over winter to keep them ticking along and the interest there. Once summer comes we can think of other things to do like drive outs or take advantage of the fact we have some good coastline in our region.
I always fancied having a meet on the riverhead at Lincoln (where the multi story and Yates' is) when I was PGAC regional leader and never got round to it. I don't know what the score is with vehicle access down there but it might be worth trying to sort something? A load of gleaming 106s sat in the sun might genarate some more interest in the club?

,aybe next month - let me know when your free as i have no idea how to drive there. if you mean where the cinema is, i know how to walk there.
i was thinking come april/may time could do a skeg trip for laser quest/bowling, something like that.
marinerpug
06-01-2008, 02:28 PM
yeah its where the cinema is. If you come off the bypass (A46) at the roundabout just before the damons roundabout follow that to the traffic lights and turn left then at the night lights turn right then right again at the next lights the roads a dead end with a muti story to your left the waterfront area is there but as I said I have no idea what the score with vehicle access is?

06-01-2008, 02:52 PM
hhhmmmm may have to look into that then. the only problem i can see is, will there be enough parking on the day. i know our meets are small, but still...
could always do a night time meet, park up there and go cinema or something and to a pub dinner??

06-01-2008, 03:08 PM
Er yeah I always thought it would be a good posing place in the summer (you know what I'm like lol) it might not even be possible lol

i think its da case of having permission of da council, for da parking on the front, or am i thinking of the wrong bit? some decent places to eat down ther 2.

dead easy to find. Just head along A46 from Lincoln to Market Rasen and its on your right after about a mile.
Or, if anyone knows of a good pub in the middle of know where thatd be good for future summer meets as can have a bit of a sunday drive out.

I'll possibly be there.. I'm not sure my parents are going to appreciate me being in lincoln for three weekends in a row though lol
sexy_gt
07-01-2008, 07:51 PM
screw the parents. they should be happy your happy and away giving them freedom without the heartache of you moving out.
*l3ah06*
07-01-2008, 07:57 PM
Hmm.. they dont see it like that lol. Maybe you should come chat to them lol!
Umm.. can I make a suggestion? We book a table for the amount of people supposedly turning up? I dont fancy waiting around or eating outside again lol. Even if we overbook, and people don't turn up it wont really matter, but no pub will have a table for 20 odd available at the drop of a hat?

I moved out of home 4 years ago and my parents were upset. but got over it as i didnt spend much time there as either at college, work or stews.
then, my sister left in september to go to uni and my mum has been a different person. she gets so upset even mentioning my sisters name. shes on her own now you see and its such a big change for her. i should be a better daughter and go see her more, but i think itll add to her heart ache. so thats why your parents should be happy.
OK, see if we can get a list then for DEFFINATES:
1. Vickie

well, thanks to all who came today.
we shall NOT be going back there. As soon as Lee (loudandproud) & I parked up, one of the barstaff came over and said "erm, can i just what your doing here?" so i told her what we were doing. we were allowed to stay as long as we used the facilities.
as we walked into the pub, a guy - maybe the landlord asked us if we were with the other people who had just driven out in 4 cars or if we knew what they were doing. (it looked as though some families were meeting up in their carpark then going off somewhere in convoy).
apparently they have had some people doing deals in their carpark.
didnt like the people and the coke tasted like shite.
on the way home, i decided to go a very long way round so i could get a good drive in the pug as i dont get it out very often.
for the first time, the car backfired a few times and then as we were coming out of Binbrook towards Ravendale the car cut out completely, which i think was a sign from above as if id have carried on driving i may have been involved in a bad crash.
basically the car cut out and we rolled for about 1/2 mile and the car came to a holt on a bend where there were about 6/7 cars parked up in the road after this crash and i managed to just pull into a field entrance layby. this must have happened literally 30secs before we came to a holt. i recon if it hadnt of cut out we would have been involved.
as soon as id pulled up, stew ran out to make sure 999 had been called and to see if he could do anything, i stayed in the car as i hate human blood. then he came back and looked under the bonnet, touched the battery, hazard lights started flashing, so i turened the key and everything started again - very odd. im sure my car is a "Herbie".
the two young lads in the micra im sure will be ok. had been hit head on with a punto and went into a ditch and landed on its drivers side. drivers broken his chin and passenger hit his head and had blood comign out of his ears. punto drivers fine, just shaken up.
arrr well...
only took one pic
