Well my brother doesnt really come on forums so I thought id put a thread up for him.
He turned 17 in January but had his Quiky since about October 2006 as he seen one he liked, standard and a good price.
He had it lowered and GTi brake conversion for his xmas present and bought some wheels at the end of December too. He'd wanted either wolfrace octanes or TSW Volcano's from the beginning and these came up for a good price with brand new tyres so had to have them.
In January, Caz106 (dont hit me) was selling some Ecosse Projectors so we went and bought them off her!
This weekend we decided it was time to do some bits too it as his test isnt far away.
He had already decided from the beginning the car was going for a rallye slag look as he doesnt like his sound systems or tarty interiors.
We started off by stripping it on Saturday afternoon, nice weather, nothing to do so we started on it.
Took the back seats out, the sound deadening and boot trim. Decided to leave it at that but the bottom of the car was FILTHY so planned to clean that Sunday.
Sunday, got up around 10 and started to clean the inside of the car out, it came up lovely and then hovered the interior and Mr Muscled it (he loves the jobs you hate!). We then de-wipered the car. De-badged the boot. De-stickered the door pillars.
Then came the tricky bit...
New headlights to go on, the bumper needed to come off and id never done it before, it took us hours but in the end we got there. Fitted them pretty quick and they all worked which was good. One of the fogs was smashed so instead of replacing, decided to rip them out. The bumper went back on easily, gave the car a bloody good clean, put the spoox stickers on, and the 106owners one and that was that.
The plans now are...
New exhaust to go on which we already have and some buckets and harness's to go on.
