Check if the oil is mixing with the water (going creamy under oil cap_
make sue the oil breather pipe at the right side or the rocker isnt split or missing or clean it down and get someone else to start it to see where the oil is coming from could just be rocker gasket blown and oil running down the head . well i hope thats all it is best of luck m8

There is only an instant gasket between the cam cover and the head. Could need scraping off and replacing.

Mine did this the other day After I had them off only becuse I didnt tighten the bolts before driving, doh...

Anyway... Check the boltsd are tight, if they are take them off, and get some instant gasket sealant, bettetr still go to pug and get the rubber seal as it may need replacing.

the two covers come off easy m8 its just these bolts (pic stole from guide btw)

just remember and clean mating faces and dont let any debris in the head when there removed

even with a new cover iirc you dont get a new seal . it seems like they just dont make them at all thats why pug use sealant themselves

I know mine had some rubber kinda glue pealing away from there when I got it, so not sure if its just a case of sticking some more of the glue stuff on.

Sealant it is then use plenty as as said dont let it get anywhere other than the mating faces. should be ok then. If it continues, then you may have a damaged rocker cover itself.

it's a much bigger job to get the bottom seal done. i wouldn't recommend patching it up though.

if it helps the guy who did my headgasket used the same sealant to do both seals and it's held perfectly since. he's an ex peugeot mechanic and he said he got it from them despite them not having a clue when i went in to get some myself. think it's just a case of pestering them.

the original rubber seal isn't too hard to get off just make sure you clean everything thoroughly and use a decent degreaser.

I've just done the very same seals on mine, so far so good.

On the rocker cover I flaterned back these luggs..

Then used sealant, give it time to set.

I wouldn't go mad with the sealant tho, bits of the sealant can drop in the engine if you use too much and block up the oil pick up. Not good!
