Hi,
Can anyone post up some notes (with pics, if possible) on cleaning the fuel injectors on my 2002 Quiksilver? Turning it in to a guide in the DIY section would be great and it'd compliment the "cleaning your throttle body guide" nicely.
Thanks!

not really alot you can do with the injectors lol, you can try redex etc, but they arnt really too effective, its best to have them ultrasonicly and chemically cleaned somewhere, not sure if anybody could reccomend somewhere? then you could buy a second hand rail to get cleaned/recondititioned, and swap it with yours when its done, cleaning costs on average £15 per injector from what i can gather, hope thats some help

Easiest thing to try is to run a solvent cleaner through the engine. But it looks like manually cleaning them requires some specialised tools, and good knowledge of what you're doing.
EDIT: QT106 said it all. haha.

Thanks for the replies and thanks to Quik_Pug for the offer :) Not sure why my fuel consumption is a bit arse at the moment. Checked the air filter for example and that's all peachy.
So the next thing I was questioning was fuel injectors. I've got some "Carb and fuel injector cleaner" (used for cleaning the throttle body). Where's the best place to spray it to attempt to clean the injectors? Through the throttle body?
Thanks in advance :)

Simtek (http://www.simtekuk.co.uk/10271/info.php?p=5&pno=0) are the place a few use for having their injectors ultrasonically cleaned, seems the price has gone up to £17 each...still good value in my eyes (I work at a Diesel Fuel Injection Engineers).
I normally use the injector cleaner that you put in the petrol tank, wouldn't know about any other type.
