Ok i know this is related to a saxo but i just need some advice

A friend is looking for a cheap de-cat, his cat is in his downpipe...however the cat on the 106's isnt.

Will a 106 downpipe fit to his manifold resulting in a cheap decat?

nope is the simple answer because cars with the cat in the downpipe have two lambda sensors, one before and one after. There is only one lambda sensor on cars with the cat under the car so the other lambda will have no where to go, probably resultung in the car failing to start;)

The engines with a cat in the manifold have a plastic oil filer housing, so not all early after market manifolds clear the filter housing. They do sell aftermarket manifolds for the later engines, but then its not going to be a cheap de cat, unless he breaks up the cat inside, but the whole lot would need removing from the car to do it.
