Different heads for the GTI

Im looking to change the head on my GTI and was wondering what standard heads off other cars can be bolted on or slightly adapted for a nice increase in performance.

I hear that the C2 head can be bolted on, how true is this? What are rough bhp increases?

Also what other heads should I be looking out for?

It can but you need to either drill and tap some holes to screw in the inlet manifold into or try and somehow run the C2 inlet with the 106 TB. It can be done, small power increase due to the larger valves. Would compliment some nice cams :)
