Just taken of my rocker to start polishing it and on turning it over i found the dreaded white slime sat on the underneath of it.. my understanding of this is that there is an air leak getting into it..(maybe wrong please correct if i am). but whats really confusing me is that i have already replaced the rocker seal with a new one as the other had been on ages and had started to crack.. i no a blown up 1.4 my be a blessing to some so an upgraded can be done but id rather have the option of when i do it not when it blows up on me.. so any help would be gratefully recieved.:)

its water getting into your oil mate... if its bad usually headgasket...
wipe it all out.. rebuild it.. check again in a few weeks..
also as its a quiky it`ll have a mild steel rocker cover as opposed to ally like the 16v`s so if your trying to mirror polish it give up now....

Yeah, sounds like headgasket. Mine went about a year ago now :(
Not really that hard to replace it if you know a couple of things, and if not get a mate who does to help you ;)
