Regarding track time...
They are 15 minute slots right? Whats the cost, do you need a helmet and track cover insurance?
I could just look on the FCS website but im far too lazy.
Why on God's earth are they doing it at Rockingham again.... oooo so we can have the club stands thrown out the back... so the people that the show is really about are stuck in the gravel car park again all day.... great!
BTW i'm not bitter or anything lol...

you'll have to wear a helmet and sort some track day insurance out for piece of mind but i dont think the insurance is mandatory

Agreed Brunters is a much better location. But they got such good publicity from Rockingham that I think they decided to use it.
It looks like we'll be out in the car park with all the other clubs again this year (oh the joy)
I enjoyed it when it was at Brunters rockingham was poorly laid out, most of the club stands barely got visited and the walk to and from the 'trade arena' was a joke.

yeah I much prefered FCS on the grass at Brunters as it had been for a few years I think the weather was the reason it was in one line in 06? I missed that one - grimsby were playing in the playoff final (we lost, I wished I'd gone to FCS lol) when it was on the grass it was in an almost circle type arangement so it was easy to walk around.
Rockingham in my opinion is a poor venue, all the clubs were placed well out of the way and people wasn't bothering to look. The trade area was too far away and the walkway was too narrow and cramped.
I'd like to see it back at brunters.

Sh*t, I didn't see who started this thread. Since you said it I'd have to say Rockingham is a brilliant venue ;).

Last years was the only FCS I've ever been to, and tbh I was a bit dissapointed :( Could have been much better, but looks like we are going to have to put up with it!

apparently in 06 it was on the track at brunters beacuse it had "outgrown" the grass section and too many low riders were complaining and last year it was at rockingham because as the show gets bigger each year, it has "outgrown" brunters altogether.
i liked FCS as it felt like a family show instead of a big corporate show. didnt make it to FCS 07, every site review i read was pants, but kind of looking forward to 08 to judge for myself.
the best thing about brunters was the grass!
could chill out and sunbathe or whatever, lie and have some food or a picnic.
cant do that on gravel.
i think we should take load of cans of pop to sell too so we dont have to pay 2 quid a bottle like last year

ive been the past... erm.. 4? 5 years now and moving from brunters was a bad idea imo..
you lot got shafted last year that car park was a joke as was most of the clubs funnelling all those people through the tiny tunel was a nightmare and then what did you get as reward.. viewing of 1 poxy straight and 2 poxy bends..
i beleive this year there using the full track banked corners an all so that means good viewing from the main grandstand and fingers crossed more people outside the track rather than inside... if that makes sense....

A agree back with you Stu, brunters had the atmosphere due to the fact it was all in 1 area rather than being 'split' into 2 like rockingham

It was also my first fcs this year, and i thought it was crap compared to the likes of trax where there are no tunnels to try and get through. I will be going next year, on the 106 owners stand this time as ive not actually been to a show with the club yet.

I went to FCS 05 and 06, 05 was the best, was in a kind of square on the grass, loads of people jest relaxing and having a good time. 06 was along the runway, with car stands either side. IMO is could have been done better, as loads of nob heads were flying down the runway, with loads of people walking around.
Didn't go this year, so can't comment, but it sounded crap!

Loved FCS05 :D.....great atmosphere, great viewing for the track, and yea the club stands were arranged in a big square, wasnt so spread out :)

Yea right FCS 05 was a good show - but didnt think as much of the last 2. No doubt I will still go next year though as its good to catch up with people I dont see often and to check out the french machinery. Usually prefere the Sat nigght though

The best bit about FCS 07 was the night before lol The show was dire, as everyone has said, the club area was out of the way and got hardly any attention at all.
brunters was by far the best even 06 when it was all on the tarmac atleast the club stands were mixed in with the trade stands so there was abit more to see when you went for a wander
rockigham isnt laid out for a show like FCS and all the gravel trap and carpark on the front just alienates the club stands and as much as i thought last year was shite if we can pull in 100 cars i'm sure we can have a laugh and show everyone else how its done LOL
oh and correct me if i'm wrong but isnt part of it not been held at brunters anymore the uber strict noise limit it has now due to all the people who've moved in next to it and are now complaining about the noise :rolleyes: muppets
