How hard is it to make up a complete new wiring loom for the engine bay. Got my omex going in but wanted to make a loom from scratch. I have my half built omex loom labled up with all pin out data and diagrams. Also have the pin out data and diagrams for my single plug loom from autodata.
Will i need to keep the relay that usually sits under the ecu?
Not done to much car wiring.

rather do it myself if i can sense of achievement and all that, if just a case of tracing the wires of old loom and simply copying it then will be easy enough.
If i ditch my single plug ecu completely will i loose dash gauges and warning lights? as i know you do with 3 plug.

you should be alright if its a single plug ecu..
if your after the connectors and bits and bobs try vehicle wiring products:
http://wwww.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk/
or if your after some techy advice try
simtec
http://www.simtekuk.co.uk/
or
viper
http://www.motorsport-wiring.com/
both have helped me in the past..
i know bic swears by bobby the "wirewizard" so maybe a chat with him??

yea im going to order my cable etc off of vehicle wiring products. been looking in the haynes today and looks like on single plug ecu just controls engine running and seperate part of loom for dash dials.
Do you know what the relay that sits under the ecu is used for. So far just been told it has many uses which dont really need.

the relay under the ecu switches the fuel pump on and a few other things which without my haynes or autodata cd i couldn`t tell ya mate but everything should be able to run straight off the ecu outputs..
i forgot to add tim mason is also a helpful bloke.....
