Can anyone help me???? I own a 106 xsi 1.6 I have a k&n system on which has two other hoses going into the filter one is the oil breather pipe can anyone tell me what the other one is?????

Just had another look but its to dark outside to take decent pics, The oil breather hose actually goes in above the filter and then two other hoses similer to water hoses go into the filter, Have'nt a clue what these two are

ohhh, cant say i know to be honest. never had contact with an xsi engine. rather than me guess wait for slammed106, liam or Dan c or someone with an xsi to lend a hand

ah hello there will help if i can.. been a while since i had std inlet though.. going from your pic
1 to the cam cover thats a breather
1 goes to the idle control valve?? so when the butterflys closed the car doesnt stall
oh and in the std airbox there a air flow meter dooberry in the airflow.. has that been fitted into the k+n somehow?? its got a electrical 2 wire plug on it..
if that makes sense

I think you are correct if im thinking of the same ones there both vacuum pipes that go back into the inlet and as slammed said they keep your car ticking over when idling,
Most induction kits dont really have accomodation for these 2 pipes so all iv done is wrapped a bit of mesh (tights) to stop any shit getting in and left it off, works well enuff for me :D

Hi Danvilla, where can I get an induction kit like that for my car? I got a xsi 1.4 litres by the way.. :)
