hey a hanese (sp) Manuel.

haynes manual mr G ;)

and the magical manual says

every 72,000 miles*

*although the normal interval for renewal is 72,000 miles it is strongly recommended that the interval is halved to 36,000 miles on vehicles that are subjected to intensive use, ie mainly short journeys or a lot of stop-start driving.

the actual belt renewal is therefore pretty much upto you mate but if you leave it too long and it breaks then it'll be a pretty hefty repair bill

Yeh its worth changing. Bought mine with 104K on and had no record of a change so changed it a day later. Better to be safe than sorry :)

Ive never had an engine long enough to have to change the belt twice, as i always do it when fitting a new engine or changing cars. Do it then you can forget about it. Belt, tensioner, rollers and water pump, then its good for another 36k.
