Marshall
28-12-2007, 06:09 PM
go for the 3" mate, its not too big but is big enough to look good if you get what i mean.

sounds awesome on a 1.1 8v so its gunna sound abit better on a 1.4...mine rasps and i love it...just wish it sat level, needs whipping off and the hangers modifying

fred
28-12-2007, 08:46 PM
2" is waaay cooler. People will hear you and look straight past you because they will assume "that pug cant make that noise!"

then when you drive past with a little 2" pea shooter they will be confused. :)

2" all the way!

Chris S

Im confused fred :x

Jack The Lad

28-12-2007, 09:53 PM
well to be honest mate, iv never really had a look at it, it doesnt blow or anything, im gonna have it over a pit when i can cos i got some stuff i need to do on the car so i can have a proper look then,

its a full decat system btw, sounds good, so raspy, it seems a bit louder than other pugsports that i have heard, but still legal i think.

il have to source another exhaust before selling aswell, so looks like im gonna get round to buying a supersprint

Jeffers
29-12-2007, 01:01 AM
lol wellll If you take a magnex system (decat) off mine plus a little cash would that sound anygood to keep you going?

Jack The Lad
29-12-2007, 01:18 AM

lol good to know mine isnt the only one that sits on the piss!

ill happily agree that the 2" is raspier but the 3" has a nice deep burble to it, still unlike anything ive heard before, would be better on a bigger engined car but hey you cant win them all

thorney_tb
11-01-2008, 03:13 PM
anyone that is interested with the 3" pugsport dont get it, get the 2" simply because the exhaust was made round the 2" pipe and the reason kam racing wont do the 3" one is because it doesnt give the same performance because the 3" pipe was a copy that scorpion did when they took over making the pugsport exhaust, and just changed the tail pipe not the rest of the piping so stay well clear and get a 2" if you want the best performance

cheers dan

gj_gti1986
11-01-2008, 07:55 PM
thats useful info cheers dan

fred
11-01-2008, 11:04 PM
But if its just the tail pipe that is different, thats the last 6" or the pipe... cant make that much difference, 99% of it is the same.

thorney_tb
11-01-2008, 11:11 PM
yeah i suppose this is just what i was told by a peugeot specialist

hugh_106
11-01-2008, 11:25 PM
Scorpion make both don't they. And hell, I could weld a 7" tailpipe onto my 2" pugsport, still the same exhaust.

gj_gti1986
11-01-2008, 11:49 PM
do peugeot dealers sell these exhausts

purchased mine yesterday and hopfully should be here by friday from 106 parts.

hopefully with the fitting kit.

also does it come with new gaskets for between the joins ie manifold to centre pipe?

smithy
15-01-2008, 10:09 PM

i thought you get a fitting kit aswell but you dont
or the gasket! there 3 quid from a nearby motorshop(exhaust specialists)

not quite correct. We stock the 2inch because that is the genuine pugsport, designed and made as peugeot sport intended and as we purchase through PEugeot sport is the only one available to us

When 106parts got in on the action they saw that there was a market for more asthetically pleasing backboxes with a 3inch tailpipe so thats what they had made, they went direct to scorpion for that to be made

The production of them isn't any worse than the 2inch .. or should that read the quality isn't any better lol
I can't confirm any performance difference as we're not interested about testing back to back. Especially when we don't intend to stock the 3inch.

scotty
18-01-2008, 07:26 PM
well exhaust arrive today from 106 parts and yeah its just the pipes you get, no fitting kit, clamps or anything.

they also forgot my manifold gasket which i ordered and paid for, not good, first experiance with them, hopefully they can resolve it.

looks like going to pug tomorow for all gaskets and clamps required to fit this.

anyone got a list?

fred
18-01-2008, 07:40 PM
Manifold gasket and bolts and springs

3 x hangers, but you might not need them.

scotty
18-01-2008, 07:55 PM

scotty
19-01-2008, 08:19 PM
i will see how i get on with these new 1s and if not go back to the oem ones.

also how come the pugsport has 4 hangers on the back box, is this due to the awkward fit?

Jack The Lad
19-01-2008, 11:36 PM
the four hangers are for the S1 and S2.
2 of them are for the S1 and 2 for the S2 :)

why do u need to buy a new fitting kit wen all the bits are on the previous exchaust pipe?

fred
03-03-2008, 05:57 PM
The gasket that joints the center pipe to manifold can get crushed, and when you fit it to the next exhaust it wont seal properly :)

buy different exhaust connectors as ther are loads of sizes and shapes available, just pop it down to a local garage and they will probly sort it for less that a fiver
