Right then peeps we need to start thinking about Track Time French Car Show 2008.

FCS08 22nd June 2008


FCS08 will again be at Rockingham Raceway (http://www.rockingham.co.uk/)

Corby
Northamptonshire
NN17 5AF


Hopefully the weather will be a bit nicer to us this coming year.

2008 they are planning on using the BTCC circuit (http://www.hoverd.org/Tim/Fury/images/rockingham_02.gif)

We need to get a minimum of 21 cars PAID and booked into a session to have a 106Owners session.
There is a maximum of 40 cars per session.
They are done on a first come first served basis from FCS so we will do the same.


The session is 30 minutes long, and will be exclusively for us 106 owners.
You need a helmet and no insurance is provided so its recommended to get your own :)

Price is £39.95 - this covers paypal fees and postage to you, and I think is a bit of a bargain for 30 minutes around rockingham!
Any names added without payment will de removed, as this needs to be paid for before the event and we are not paying for it and recovering the costs!

Can I just say though guys - while the quick lads will be on (ricky, mark etc..) they have done track days before and are sensible enough not to cut people up if its your first time on track

This is likely to be my first time on track - and there will ONLY be people from the club on our session, so dont worry too much about people hitting into you - it shouldnt really happen :)

The actual cost of the ticket (what I have to pay FCS) is £35.95 - reason we are charging £39.95 is because we need to cover postage and paypal fee's which comes to just over a quid, and we will be providing some tools and a prep area at the end of the club stand specifically for those going on track :)

The most important thing to remeber on a track day is check your mirrors! its soo easy not to bother, and you can easily hold people up. Observe, this is from last year when I was on track with the RR boys. The blue rallye wasnt checking his mirrors, so he was holding me and anthony up. I was reluctant just to push past incase he didnt see me and cut infront.

Dude, aslong as you check your mirrors and move out of the way of quicker cars then its all good.

There was a 1.5D 106 out there last year, was funny. Sound lad, didnt hold anyone up for more than a corner.

Dont let other people being quicker let it ruin your experience :)

From what i've been told mate, there was a diesel on track last year, and I was planning on taking mine on, if I hadnt got another car by then, so yeah, get the 1.1 on track, remember, its not about your times, its about having fun. ;)

And yeah, you need a helmet. Hopefully i've got one sorted. Wooo. :) I think the moto-x helmet should be ok, is it just an open faced helmet? If so, thats fine, and what most people reccomend, because a full face helmet restricts your view, especially with you not having much view in the first place. :)
