mutant 12" subwoofer just randomly stopped working. was working fine earlier and now nufin. any ideas as to the problem? the amp works fine and iv tried reconnecting th wires n stuff. :(

how have you checked the amps still working have you tried another sub on it or do you mean its powering up
could be the remote line? come out the back of the HU?
Turn your headunit on and pull the RCA slowly in and out of where the AMP which powers the sub. Do you hear a pop?

well it powers on. dont have another good sub altho i can try using the bass my hi-fi speakers. il giv it a go like. no dont think its the remote line coz it turns on wit the HU

if its powering up could be sound processor inside it same as my vp4 which means your amp is bout as much use as a door stop is it still under warranty if so dont mess bout just take it back

nah i dnt have the warranty i gt it off my mate unless hes got the receipt or waever. doubt it tho. wa dyu recomend as a gd amp for a reasonable price?
what ratings does your sub have?

happen to my fli 12" just stopped working turns out it was the sub try powering your sub off something else cu dbe the sub like mine check your grounds etc the amp cud be damaging your speakers

loose cable probably tbh mine just randomly stopped, and it turned out to be an earth cable that was cooming loose
I had it with my earth too, you check that?

hmm well its working ok now :S random. by il check my earth and tighten if necessary. i duno wa specs the sub is or the amp. not high tho. looking to get a new one, anyone know of anything good for gd price?
Best scout around mate..You wanna look for rms ratings though. I always use caraudiosecurity when scouting as they stock a large variety!
Yeah i'd recommend caraudiosecurity, i brought all of my FLI setup from them, good delivery and alot cheaper than most places.
does the amp have overheat protection? could be that should reset it self though once cool enough. get some 12v pc fans on it.
