Ive found the exact wheels i want for my 106 but they are from a 205. Ive heard that a 205 has an offset of 28 and a 106 has an offset of 16 i think. Is this going to make much difference when i fit it (will it rub the suspension)? Can i just use spacers? Also, is the hub size the same?
Basically i want to know if the offset is the only thing different on a 106 and 205, and is this even a big problem anyway?
Cheers guys! :D

206 wheels are et28, im pretty sure that 205`s are the same as 106`s, 15 - 20mm according to rochford tyres.

The wheels i am after are ET28.
They must be for a 206 then, i would only fit them if you can get some hubcentric spacers to fit, depending on what size/ width and what car you have, you could put 15mm spacers. I am on et15 wheels in 7x15 and ive still got a few mm that i can bring the wheels out so in theory if i fitted 7x15 et13 wheels then they would fit fine ( et28 plus 15mm spacers ) I don`t think you can get the correct spacers in less than 10mm anyway.

Well ive got a phase 1 106, and the wheels im after are comp mo's, 15inch, 6J! If i did use spacers (not hubcentric) then would there actually be any hub left to mount the wheel on? I really want these wheels as they are the peugeot sport ones and they turn up once in a blue moon, so ideally i need a way to make these fit, rather than wait for a 106 set!

got some on mine fit ok with 45 profile tyres rubbed on the trailing arm with 50pro's and rub slightly on full lock so could do with some thin spacers 3mm or something

If they are mo`s, then try and find out what size centre bore they are, as if they are 65mm then you will struggle to find hubcentric spacers to fit them. You need to use hubcentric spacers as they have the centre sticking out like the hub so the wheel locates on and centralises. I would rather order some in et15 - 18 so you have no problems. Unless they are cheap then i would be tempted to order some direct from compomotive.

Its alright theyre sorted now, picked the wheels up from wales, got tyres on them. Front is fine and rears rub a little so i have 15mm hubcentrics on the way - set me back 50 quid - and a set of studs and nuts from pri racing. Hopefully theyll be here by the end of the week and i can have the wheels on :D
p.s. and they were 206 btw, my mistake!
