Who has 16's on there 106? Would like to know what profile tyres you have on? How much it has been lowered? and does it scrub much?
Cheers

I had them on the Rallye, 205/50/16 on the front, 195/40/16 profile on the back. Don't know how low in mm, but you can see in the pic it was quite low. Rubbed if you put it on full lock or if you went over potholes and bumps too fast

With the 195/40/16s all around an not too low, it would probably be OK though

195/40/16 is the size to go for
And the rubbing - well its all about the offset
You can run anything between 13mm and 18mm on a 106 - doesnt make much difference what
But with 16" wheels usually being 6.5" wide and the tyres taking up a lot of space - you need as low an offset as possible
I got 13mm offset - no rubbing on full lock but they rubbed slightly on the washer bottle till I took it out LOL

Mine had 195/40`s on the front and 195/45`s on the rear and was lowered approximately 50mm front and 35mm rear and didn`t rub at all. I had cut the arches as much as i could though as i did fit some 18`s for a few days so i did the arch mods for them really so it has cured all rubbing. I didn`t get rubbing on the arches with 18`s but the fuel filler was in the way so i put the 16`s back on, im now on 15`s for this year.

Yeah thats a bit of a must mate LOL
My car was probably one of the lowest cars i've ever seen on 16's though mate
It was about 100mm at the back and 60mm at the front

Yeah piece of piss mate
No water in boot - still dont have any in now
But what i have done is instead of removing the whole front one is cut it in half and kept the back half in otherwise you get water thrown at the door hinges and the rust up :)

This is a common question asked on the Saxo site I'm on.
If you have 16's, the lowest you can go without any rubbing is 40mm on 40 profiles.

Im very surprised, not the same with 106.
My last one was 50mm Eibach springs, 60mm on the torsion on 16s.
No rub whatsoever.

On a saxo you can go lower than 60mm on 16's and I would imagine a 106 shouldnt be too different. I used to be down 60mm on 16s on my old saxo and I could have a full car with no rubbing.
