They attatch to the supply line and 'apparently' due to the magnetic field, it 'separates the hydrocarbons in the fuel' or something to increase the MPG

Oh yeah, I believe it now, as it says "that actually works" in the title, so it must be true!

wow. a 60-80% decrease in exhaust emmissions!!!

the entire worlds global warming problem has been solved with a 4 quid magnet. bargain!

some how i think this is total BS. If it was as simple as putting a magnet onto the fuel pipe, manufactures wouldn't be spendin millions researching ways of reducing fuel consumption and emmissions to meet government targets. if you really want the best fuel consumption from your car, leave it alone! dont modify it over oem setup.

however, if you really want to fit it, find your fuel rail (a long plastic tube attached to your injectors at the back of your engine) and locate the rubber pipe that comes out of it. attach where ever theres space to i guess!

despite whether it works or not lol do you know where the supply line is?

yes, its a rubber pipe, about a cm thick, at the back of your engine going into the fuel rail. it runs down to the left hand side of the engine bay (if lookin into the bay from the front) then goes under the car and towards the back, into the fuel tank.

make sure there is no magnetic outside the device (hold it near something metal and make sure it dont stick) having "such a powerful magnet" near your ECU 'could' kill it. computer equipment doesnt like magnetic fields. possible it can interfere with electrics aswell, depend how well peugeot have sheilded there wiring! if there is no outside magnetic force however, you should be fine :)

I saw the guy who invented these an old guy in his 60's at the classic car show at the NEC last year. He was so intrigued, and tried selling these at the show on a small stand just him and some leaflets and posters he ha developed. I don't know if they work though. But I Italian you keep asking about cheap stuff off ebay the general gist is If you buy cheap car mods that improve your cars power they are bullshit and harm your car.

i agree with boyes too but tbh the stuff iv looked at on ebay i havnt bought, bar this magnet. i bought it before joining this forum so couldnt ask anyone for advice like i do now. however iv bought a nice max power induction air filter...not on ebay :) and trying to fit it bu gta wait for a diff pipe coz its too big to fit directly to the intake. ah well. iv put the magnet on now anyway so wel see if it actually does anything, if not, its only a fiver

cheers

a friend of mine has a civic type r, he fitted 1 of these!

he had it on a rolling road, there 184bhp std???

it made 168bhp, also his fuel/air ratio was shocking, it was running so lean it was scary
the tech guys couldnt work out how it was even running!!

dont bother mate, if u use ur car hard ur gunna run into problems soon!

Civic Type R's if its the last model, not the newest one, but the one before (EP3) it should be 197bhp standard

LOL that just makes it sound Worse. Don't buy cheap performance stuff off ebay PERIOD. Buy a turbo kit and some cams, decat, 4-2-1, Green Filter Get What you can from Kam Racing (Club Discount ;)) Run the cams in then Turbo on Decent intercooler and whack the PSI up and It'll fly and beat VTR's easy.
