sup all am new to this site, jus got few questions, hopefully some one can help.

i have got a 106 GTi 1997
the problem i have is when the engine is warm/hot when in nuetral it idles at 2,000 rpm. when driving and when i change gear revs will stick and drop slowling when clutch down.
also the thing thats doing my head in is driving from 2,000revs to 3,500revs the interior vibrates like mad.

the car was running fine when first had it. didnt do any changes to it, just started happening.
got straight frew exhaust - de-cat, air filter with cold air feed.

mates saying air leek with inlet manifold.

also shuld i get a diagnostics test done if so were is the diagnostics port. cant find it.

ADD-ON:
theres a grinding sortof noise coming from the inlet manifold aswell,
does any one no the price of a new inlet manifold?
ideas would be greatfull.
cheers loui.

Firstly the vibration may be caused by a worn engine mount.

Secondly I have a spare 16v inlet manifold at home, you purchase if you like?

Diagnostic plus is in the passanger side of the dash. There is a square panel about 3"x3" which you jsut pull out to reveal the OBII plug.

Do you require the injectors and fuel rail etc?

mine idle'd high when the idle control valve wasn't closing properly, hence the same effect as an air leak. changed the idle control valve (stepper motor), unplugged the battery for half hour and was all sound.
