Just removed the restricor pipe to the airbox and havn't put any replacemeant pipe on yet. But it smells of petrol now it's removed in the engine bay and the idle seemed a bit violent (engine shaking more than usual.) Even louder, too. lol.
Is this normal, maybe the ECU needs to get used to having a load more air as the open pipe is huge.

Any thoughts? Just want to know that it's ok to run it like this really. Havn't taken it for a drive yet.

No idea mate but maybe the smell is because you've got a big open pipe in the middle of the bay? See how big the hosing needs to be and pop down to Halfrauds? Pop in to that Pug specialist whilst you're there too :D

Yeah mate I guessed that's what the smell was. Not sure what type of pipe to get, Halfords do some air ducting. Need to order high flow filter from motor place on Gayling too.
Might go for a drive I'm sure it can't do any harm.
